From evolving our data platform to transitioning to software, from BI tooling into a full application and AI for BI, you'll lead architecture and design reviews, define integration approaches with wider PepsiCo capabilities, and ensure we build coherently across Data Engineering, BI Engineering, and Product Engineering. /p pThis is a role for someone who wants to build the blueprint, not just inherit one. You'll partner with Engineering managers to make technology choices that balance innovation with pragmatism, navigate platform governance to unblock delivery, and ensure what we build today supports where we’re heading. If you want to shape the technical future of a scaling digital commerce capability not just review other people's designs – this is that opportunity. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 pbArchitecture and Design Oversight /b /p ul liLead software architecture and design reviews across the International Digital cCmmerce engineering organization, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and long‑term goals /li liDefine and maintain reference architectures for dComm capabilities from data platform through to user‑facing applications /li liEnsure architectural coherence across Data Engineering, BI Engineering, and Product Engineering /li liParticipate in creating the architectural runway in collaboration with Platform team by identifying foundational investments needed to support future capabilities /li /ul pbPlatform and Integration Strategy /b /p ul liLead evaluation and design of integration approaches with wider PepsiCo capabilities and platforms relevant for International /li liPartner with DTX Core Platform Team to ensure dComm needs are represented in platform decisions /li liNavigate platform governance, submit requests, advocate for international requirements, ensure dComm isn’t blocked by platform constraints /li liAdvise on AI for BI evolution /li /ul pbTechnical Leadership /b /p ul liPartner with Product Engineering Manager on application architecture decisions: technology selection, system design, scalability approach /li liProvide architectural guidance on complex cross‑functional initiatives that span multiple teams /li liReview and challenge technical designs to ensure they meet non‑functional requirements (performance, security, maintainability) /li /ul pbStandards and Governance /b /p ul liDefine and maintain software architecture standards for dComm: API design, service boundaries, security patterns, deployment approaches /li liEnsure alignment with wider PepsiCo technology standards while advocating for dComm‑specific needs /li liCreate and maintain architecture documentation, decision records, and design artefacts /li liGuide Engineering Managers on architectural trade‑offs and help them make informed decisions /li /ul pbCollaboration and Stakeholder Management /b /p ul liServe as the primary architectural interface between dComm and DTX Core Platform Team /li liCollaborate with Data Architect to ensure end‑to‑end coherence across data and application layers /li liRepresent dComm engineering in enterprise architecture forums and technology governance processes /li liAdvise leadership on technical feasibility, risks, and architectural implications of strategic initiatives /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul li6+ years of experience as a solutions architect spanning data platforms and applications /li liExperience navigating enterprise platform teams and governance processes /li liBackground in integration architecture connecting capabilities across organizational boundaries /li liStrong software architecture foundation system design, API design, service‑oriented and event‑driven architectures /li liExperience with modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow) and how applications integrate with data platforms /li liStrong expertise in containerization technologies and container orchestration solutions /li liAbility to create and maintain architecture diagramas to effectively communicate system design/technical decisions /li liUnderstanding of cloud cost optimization, with the ability to balance cost, performance and business value in architectural decisions /li liFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and infrastructure considerations /li liUnderstanding of BI tools (Power BI) and their architectural limitations /li liExperience with or strong interest in Elixir (or comparable functional languages for scalable applications) /li liKnowledge of security, performance, and scalability patterns for enterprise applications /li liAbility to guide and influence Engineering Managers without direct authority /li liStrong communication skills and can articulate architectural rationale to technical and business audiences /li liComfortable operating in a matrix environment across dComm, DTX Platform, and enterprise functions /li /ul h3What makes us different? /h3 ul liHybrid work model: combination of remote and collaborative office experience to enable innovation /li liEntrepreneurial environment in leading international company /li liProfessional growth possibilities learning opportunities /li liVariety of benefits to support your physical, emotional and financial wellbeing /li liVolunteering opportunities to help external communities /li /ul p*We encourage the diversity of applicants across gender, age, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, social background, religion or belief and disability /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
