ph3Job Description /h3 pWe are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in the space industry to cover the role of AIT Thermo-mechanical Lead of Payload Products. /p pThe AIT Thermo-mechanical Lead position presents an exciting opportunity to take on a technical leadership role and provide a robust end-to-end integration process, time and cost optimized for implementation into production. /p pThe Payload Product Lead is a dynamic and essential role that deals with project daily challenges, change of priorities and resolving blocking actions to ensure schedule adherence, yet, maintaining quality and costs. /p pWe invite you to join a multi-skilled and highly engaged team of Engineers working on one of the top companies of the Space Industry. /p pThe Payload Product Lead works together in leadership with the AIT Manager inside Operations TOM. /p pWorks on cross multi-functional teams with: /p ul liAIT Engineering Teams: Mechanical, Thermal, Antennas and Harness Engineering Project Teams. /li liMFT leads and Product Owners /li liProject Management Team /li liM P /li liProduct Assurance Team (PA) /li liSupply Chain /li /ul h3General Responsibilities /h3 ul liThe Payload Product Lead is the AIT thermo-mechanical project focal point, providing Technical Lead and Expertise. Providing technical lead to the Build Process definition ensuring a correct consistent process definition for the shopfloor. /li liLiaises with management over manpower and budgets as necessary. /li liProvides regular feedback to management on current progress, workings and issues on behalf of the team. /li liOffers support to management with regards to team/department strategies or any other topics as needed. /li liSupport/mentor apprentices and new starters in the team to foster new talent. /li /ul h3During the Project Design Phase /h3 ul liAttends and/or support all project meetings / reviews. /li liAttends and/or support the PFMA, DMU review, Project Concurrent MFTs with Design Engineering, Industrial Means, Quality and Production. /li liAttends inputs preparation meeting to define and ensure KIDs for product / project are fit for Manufacture (DFM). /li liDefine/Supports the Build Process, re-enforce and ensure a correct consolidated process definition. /li liIndustrial Product definition in the context of Collaborative Engineering: product (part detail definition), processes (manufacturing and assembly) and Industrial Means detail definition. Detailed simulation of the process (precedents, restrictions, areas, etc.). /li liFinal tolerance analysis: tolerance stack-up analysis, CIs KC´s. /li liUpdate agreement of the final Product Structure (As-Planned). /li liUpdate and agreement of specifications for Delivered Components (delivery conditions) and work specifications. /li liBuild Process Consolidation and agreement with relevant stakeholders and production area. /li liProvides Inputs to Industrial Planning: Build process (precedents, restrictions, areas, etc.) balancing, adjustment of process times and skills and estimated lead times. /li liProvides Inputs of recurring non-recurring costs associated with the industrial model. /li liProvides Supplier Industrialization Support: /li liTechnical support for the Manufacture/Purchase strategy. /li liTechnical management in the development of supplier work packages. /li liTechnical management of bids, and selecting and contracting products (parts, assemblies, groups) from suppliers. /li liManages the creation of the Industrialization documentation (Built Process studies / Process Flows Budget / Supplier WPs…). /li /ul h3AIT Documentation /h3 pManages the creation of: /p ul liBOM preparation (As-Prepared) - Update As-prepared BOM with auxiliary materials and flight non-flight material quantities. /li liRouting preparation (As-Prepared) - Create update complete routings for standard activities and viability tests / qualification / process preparation. /li liInternal (Procedures, Work instructions, Technical Instructions, data collection documents, numerical control programs, critical movement…) and External documentation (user manuals). /li liMRR / IRR Datapack: Routing applicable documentation (instructions documentation). /li liUpdate Inputs to Industrial Planning: Build process (precedents, restrictions, areas, etc.) balancing, adjustment of process times and skills and estimated lead times. /li liUpdate Inputs of recurring non-recurring costs associated with the industrial model. /li /ul h3During the Execution /h3 ul liAttends and/or supports SQCD Panels Daily meetings at shopfloor, PPS meetings, Schedule reviews and Recovery Plans. /li liProvides Technical shopfloor support: /li liFollow up execution of shopfloor activities. /li liSupport to operation (applicable documentation understanding, specific analysis…). /li liConfiguration and improvement of the design of the product, the industrial process and resources. /li liTechnical support for pending work: impact reduction and technical solutions. /li liMethods and processes support. /li liProvides timely feedback to appropriate managers on process engineering issues. /li liReviews of real recurring non-recurring costs and Identify / analyse deviations. /li liMaintenance of Applicable documentation (Procedure, Work instructions, Technical Instructions, Procedures, Data collection documents…). /li liSupports Assessment of Non-Conformances.
