If this sounds like a culture you would like to work in, you’re invited to apply for this role. /ph3Job Description /h3pThe Senior Purchasing Manager is a key member responsible for executing procurement activities for materials and equipment in support of complex projects from pre‑award through closeout. /pulliExecute purchasing activities and strategy development for critical engineered equipment and major bulk materials in accordance with project requirements and material management plans /liliReview the project scope of work and prime contract and develop modifications to standard templates and terms and conditions for review /liliPrepare bid packages, manage bidder communications and clarification meetings and administer quotation timelines /liliConduct commercial bid evaluations evaluating pricing, terms, delivery, compliance and risk against project baseline documents /liliIssue purchase orders and manage them through the full lifecycle, including change orders, price adjustments and supplier exceptions /liliEffectively negotiate and recommend resolution to terms and conditions exceptions /liliNegotiate and resolve any claims related items regarding material /liliAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines /liliValidate supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner /liliProvide guidance and support to intermediate and junior buyers on the project team /liliCollaborate closely with Engineering, Construction, Logistics, and other project stakeholders /liliLead weekly purchasing meetings to align expectations and schedules /liliPlan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff /liliOrganize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines /liliAdhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety Environmental and Sustainability Policies /liliMay need to travel to attend to business related matters /liliMeet expectations on attendance and punctuality /liliOther duties as assigned /li /ulh3Basic Job Requirements /h3ulliAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work‑related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen (14) years if non‑degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements /liliAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders /liliJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job /liliAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines /liliAbility to attend to detail and work in a time‑conscious and time‑effective manner /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliApplicable professional certification(s) or license(s) /liliExperience should be primarily in the area of material management /liliExcellent interpersonal and communication skills /liliExcellent leadership and decision‑making skills /li /ulpTo be Considered Candidates: Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located. /ppWe are an equal opportunity employer.
