Job Category: Engineering | Job Family: Project EngineeringWhat you’ll do:Ensuring compliance with safety, sanitation, and government regulationsLeading project team members through execution of capital projects with the objective of meeting the project success criteria.Providing clear communication and direction to project team members and updates to project stakeholders.Providing guidance with the development of specifications, capital equipment, and the selection of vendors and contractors.Providing technical advice and assistance as required to sustain production capacity and capabilities.Assisting in cross‑training efforts to help develop partner’s skills in other functional areas of engineering (e.G., utilizing “EPM” Enterprise Project Management tools).Working with cross‑functional teams to develop business propositions and executive summaries which support company growth and profitability.Investigating, evaluating and implementing new or improved technology/methods that may improve capability, capacity and overall profitability.Assisting the plant team leadership with requests as required (upper management meetings, personnel, technical reviews, lead engineering sessions, advisory help, customer visits, etc.).Ensuring compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements.Interpreting and communicating customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups.Establishing and auditing PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, ensuring customer requirements are met.Reviewing incidents during which procedures are not met, and determining appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.What you need to succeed:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fieldExperience in electrical controls (PLC programming, servos, VFDs, etc.)Experience in leading projects and project managementAbility to function in a team environmentEnd‑user computer skillsDesire to grow and take on new challenges and opportunitiesSchreiber Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
