ppbHispaSat /b, as part of the bSpaceRISE /b consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the bIRIS² /b project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states. /p pWe are focused on the development of a bnext-generation LEO satellite constellation /b, contributing to secure and resilient communications infrastructure at continental level. /p pTo support this programme, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated bSecurity Engineer /b, to join the IRIS² team. The role will focus on cybersecurity and information protection across the IRIS² Low LEO system, covering both flight and ground related infrastructure. /p pYou will be involved in the definition, review and implementation of security requirements, with particular focus on secure architecture, encryption, key management, accreditation, anti-jamming and compliance with institutional security standards. /p h3Functions /h3 ul liReview of functional and contractual documentation, related to bflight /b and ground architectural diagrams, requirement lists and SoW, etc. /li liAnalyze the documentation from cyber-security and information-protection perspective, the relevant requirements and contribute to its finalization as appropriate /li liAnalyze and trade-off on security architecture choices, with focus on technologies for encryption, Key Management Facility and key distribution, anti-jamming, along with their procurement and deployment, by pursuing cost- and time-efficient accreditations. /li liSupport the project team from cyber-security and information-protection perspective on the requirement compliance analysis, implications on infrastructure implementation and verification and validation perspectives. /li liSupport the project team regarding cybersecurity audits and regular security upgrades required on the system. /li liTogether with the project team and external partners, review, analyze and update security documentation. /li liContribute to the specification and review the relevant plans for implementation of the operational sites from the perspective of cybersecurity and security protection. /li liAlong institutional contract milestone plans (ESA, EC), own or contribute as needed to the preparation and closure of reviews. /li liReport to Project Manager. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liBachelor/Master’s Degree in either Telecommunications Engineering, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering /li li+5 years’ experience in cybersecurity engineering activities or secure encryption, preferably in the satellite communication domain /li liProven experience in working with institutional customers or national governmental institutions, and more specifically with engineering of security risk management, security threats incidents, security vulnerabilities, malware analysis /li liSound knowledge of security technologies, such as encryption technologies, secure Authentication-Authorization-Accounting technologies, Key Management Facility, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration and Automated Response (SOAR) /li liSound knowledge of ISO 27000 Security standards, ECSS /li liSecurity engineering experience acquired in programmes covering at the maximum possible extent the following bflight /b and ground infrastructure: satellite control center, IT Datacentres, 5G systems, OSS/BSS, terrestrial fixed and mobile networksb, satellite payload, satellite telemetry /b /li liNative to an EU member state and willing to undergo an EU secret clearance process. /li libIn possession of EU personal security clearance (HPS). /b /li liFluency in English, both written and spoken, any other European language is considered as an asset /li liLocation: Madrid /li /ul pAt Hispasat we promote equal opportunities and an inclusive environment.
