Manages the comprehensive occupational medical evaluation program and other programs that are directed to improve the health and safety of department personnel. /li liSupervises Training Program including developing and tracking master training plan. /li liSupervises Fire Prevention Program including developing facility inspection schedule for site. /li liHandles grievances, maintains discipline and adherence to the rules and regulations of the standard operating guidelines of the Department. /li liResponsible for all documentation and reporting as required and directed by Program and Site leadership. /li liPerforms any other duties as assigned by Program leadership. /li /ul pFirefighter / Driver Operator duties may include: /p ul liPerform firefighting work, including preventing, combating and extinguishing fires to protect lives, property and the environment. /li liOperate fire equipment and tools appropriately. /li liProvide emergency medical care within scope of practice. /li liQuickly and effectively analyze hazardous situations and take appropriate course of action /li liParticipate in training, classes and drills in firefighting, emergency medical care, disaster response and specialized rescue. /li liPerform general maintenance work of fire equipment and facilities to include inspecting, testing, maintaining fire equipment and tools to ensure readiness. /li liResponsible for all documentation and reporting as required and directed by Program and Site leadership. /li liSafely drive firefighting apparatus to and from fires or other emergencies following laws and regulations, operating pumps, power and other mechanical equipment as required, keep inventory of tools, and equipment on apparatus. /li liClean and service assigned apparatus, maintaining it in a condition of readiness, report mechanical failures or difficulties and missing or damaged equipment to the proper authority. /li liOperate, without direct supervision, various Fire Department pumping apparatus with multiple water intake and discharge situations at an emergency scene. /li liPerform required apparatus maintenance, cleaning duties, inventory checks and weekly inspections. Additionally, after every emergency response or training drill, inventories must be checked before leaving the emergency scene or training location. /li liPerform Emergency Communications Center (ECC) duties as assigned to include receiving and relaying information, dispatching proper equipment and direction, maintaining all documentation as required, testing/operating ECC equipment and reporting any discrepancies or issues and other duties as assigned. /li liComplete all documentation and reporting as required and directed by Program and Site leadership. /li liPerform other duties as assigned. /li /ul pThe Assistant Fire Chief will be onsite during regular working hours and shall be available onsite within one hour after the Government’s regular working hours.
