Strategic LTA & MRTT Fleet Resilience Engineer at Airbus – Air Power Services, Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid), Spain. Job Overview The selected candidate will join our Air Power Services team, specialising in Capability Assurance to ensure the TMA fleet remains technologically advanced, operationally unstoppable, and future‐ready. As a Strategic Fleet Resilience Engineer, you will be the architect of our fleet's survival and evolution, turning potential technical crises into competitive and financial advantages. Responsibilities • Own, map, and analyse the obsolescence landscape across the fleet, building predictive defences that keep our aircraft flying., • Act as the bridge between technical reality and executive decision‐making, translating complex technical risks into high‐level, high‐impact investment strategies., • Serve as the ultimate line of defence against AOG (Aircraft on Ground) events, directly ensuring our operational availability remains unmatched., • Design modern, forward‐thinking lifecycle roadmaps that balance cutting‐edge technological upgrades with smart capital investment. Skills and Experience • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering., • Experience: 3+ years in engineering or customer services (e.g., AMTAC) with a deep understanding of MRTT and LTA/M & L platforms., • Languages: Advanced proficiency in Spanish and English (written and spoken)., • Forward‐thinking planner – capable of converting high‐level risks into structured, actionable, prioritised project roadmaps., • High‐level communicator – able to discuss technical specifications with engineers and ROI with executives in the same conversation., • Predictive problem‐solver – anticipating challenges years in advance and engineering solutions beforehand.
