ppAs an RF Power Systems Engineer , you will contribute to the development of Kreios Space's electric propulsion systems for Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO). Your mission will be to support the development, integration, and validation of the RF power system that enables plasma generation and sustainment in our air‑breathing electric propulsion technology. You will work on the architecture and performance of RF generators, matching networks, RF power delivery chains and their interaction with plasma loads. You will also serve as the primary technical interface with external suppliers responsible for the development of the Power Processing Unit (PPU), ensuring alignment with system requirements and supporting integration, testing and verification activities. You will work closely with propulsion, plasma physics, avionics and systems engineering teams in a highly hands‑on environment, helping transform cutting‑edge plasma propulsion concepts into robust flight hardware. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliSupport development, integration, and validation of the RF power system enabling plasma generation and sustainment in air‑breathing electric propulsion technology. /liliDesign and assess the architecture and performance of RF generators, matching networks, RF power delivery chains and their interaction with plasma loads. /liliServe as the primary technical interface with external suppliers for the Power Processing Unit (PPU), ensuring alignment with system requirements. /liliSupport integration, testing and verification activities in collaboration with propulsion, plasma physics, avionics and systems engineering teams. /liliTransform cutting‑edge plasma propulsion concepts into robust flight hardware. /li /ulh3Required Technical Knowledge /h3ulliStrong understanding of RF engineering fundamentals, including power transmission, impedance matching and RF system characterization. /liliExperience with RF power generation and delivery systems, matching networks and RF coupling techniques for complex or dynamic loads. /liliExperience working with RF generators, amplifiers and high‑power RF hardware. /liliExperience with High Voltage systems and associated safety requirements. /liliExperience with MOSFET‑based switching circuits. /liliAbility to review electrical schematics, technical documentation and supplier designs. /liliExperience defining and executing test campaigns and analyzing experimental data. /liliBasic programming or scripting skills (Python, MATLAB or similar). /li /ulh3Nice to Have /h3ulliUnderstanding of plasma‑RF interactions or willingness to develop expertise in this area. /liliElectric propulsion systems, plasma sources or plasma processing equipment, RF plasma generation systems. /liliSpace hardware development, EMC/EMI engineering, ECSS standards. /liliSupplier management and technical coordination, reliability, FMEA and failure investigations. /li /ulh3Interpersonal Skills /h3ulliStrong systems‑thinking mindset and ability to understand interactions across complex subsystems. /liliProactive and hands‑on approach to solving technical challenges. /liliMethodical and detail‑oriented, particularly when working with high‑voltage equipment. /liliComfortable collaborating within multidisciplinary engineering teams. /liliStrong communication skills, capable of challenging suppliers constructively and driving technical discussions. /liliAdaptable and resilient in a fast‑moving startup environment. /liliPositive attitude, constructive sense of humor and ability to contribute to a healthy and enjoyable work environment. /li /ulh3What We Offer /h3ulliWork on real space hardware that will fly in orbit, not just simulations or papers. /liliBe part of a fast‑growing European space startup shaping the future of sustainable space operations. /liliTake ownership of a critical subsystem at the heart of our propulsion technology. /liliHelp build Kreios Space's internal expertise in high‑voltage power electronics and electric propulsion. /liliJoin a highly collaborative, respectful and supportive team where knowledge is shared openly. /liliEnjoy a great work environment that values trust, autonomy, learning and good energy at work. /liliStrong technical growth path in a scaling company, where your work has visible impact and you actively help shape both the technology and the way we work. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
