Modern vessels are becoming increasingly complex, requiring advanced digital solutions that enable engineers to design, validate, and manage large‑scale marine projects efficiently. /p pAs an intern, you will contribute to the development and application of engineering software solutions used throughout the marine design process. You will gain exposure to areas such as Computer‑Aided Design (CAD), design automation, geometry processing, software testing, user experience, and engineering workflows. /p pWorking alongside experienced software engineers, naval architects, and technical specialists, you will participate in real projects that support shipbuilders and marine engineering organizations worldwide. Depending on your academic background and interests, you may contribute to software development, engineering design processes, digital workflows, or product innovation initiatives. /p h3What We're Looking For /h3 pWe are seeking Bachelor's or Master's students in Computer Science, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technologies, Software Engineering, or a related field. /p pIf you enjoy creative problem‑solving across the full software development lifecycle—from requirements and implementation to testing, validation, and customer support—and have strong communication skills, we would love to hear from you. /p h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience with CAD modeling or engineering design software /li liInterest in software development, digital engineering, and engineering applications /li liKnowledge of shipbuilding, marine engineering, naval architecture, or related industrial engineering concepts is considered a plus /li liGood proficiency in English /li liStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills /li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills /li liAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment /li liMotivation to learn and contribute to innovative engineering solutions /li /ul h3SSP Spain 2026–2027: Conditions Eligibility /h3 pThe Siemens Strategic Student Program (SSP) in Spain will run from 1 October 2026 until 31 March 2027. /p pDepending on university requirements and available internship hours, extensions may be considered. Students may also have the opportunity to complete their Bachelor's or Master's thesis in collaboration with Siemens Digital Industries Software. /p h3Compensation /h3 pInternships at Siemens Digital Industries Software are paid, and interns receive a monthly internship contribution. /p h3Eligibility Requirements /h3 ul liApplicants must be enrolled at a university in Spain. /li liApplicants must have at least 750 internship hours available through their university program. /li liApplicants must remain enrolled at a Spanish university throughout the duration of the internship. /li liBoth Spanish and international students are eligible to apply. /li liCurricular and extracurricular internships are accepted, provided the university permits the full six‑month internship period. /li liInternational students must possess the appropriate visa and/or work authorization.
