A temporary vacancy for a production engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid). Responsibilities The jobholder, as part of the MRO / Production team, shall support the correct execution of the A400M MRO program. The jobholder shall be responsible for managing daily tasks in A400M MRO in Getafe, according to the Dock Manager strategy. Main Activities • Supporting daily SQCDP meetings (L2 & L3), • Leading operative planning of the station, • Leading defects routine meetings, • Shopfloor support to avoid or minimize blocking points impacting planning, • Reporting and following up Work Order incidences to ensure minimal planning impact, • Analyzing Service Bulletins in advance to identify risks, • Preparing shopfloor Work Packages for MRO and Retrofit activities, ensuring correct execution per operator competence and expertise, • Preparing shopfloor Work Packages to maximize synergies between Retrofit, Maintenance and MRO, • Preparing Performance Tracker for MRO & Combined events to ensure maximum efficiency, • Distributing Work Packages between shopfloor teams according to tactical and operative planning, • Cost controlling: managing incurred hours, both WC and BC, with a special focus on remote workers out of area facilities, • Attendance control of BC of the station, weekly resource allocation and daily control of correct fulfillment, • Training follow‑up: identifying training gaps, arranging training sessions, assigning participants and ensuring attendance, • Leading and supporting improvement projects of the station, • Identifying and analyzing shopfloor deviations to optimize activities and ensure OCOTOQ deliveries, • Ensuring materials, tooling and industrial means availability per operative planning, • Planning MRO events, including materials, industrial means and people, • Follow‑up of operative planning, identifying deviations from baseline and proposing action plans, • Coordinating correct planning of Quality and other support areas to ensure OCOTOQ execution, • Coordinating station improvement projects, • Supporting foremen on tools definition to ensure correct execution of tasks, especially structural tools, • Ensuring feedback loop between stations, including complete MFT (ME, Quality, Production Control, …), • Coordinating housekeeping and FOD routines, including findings resolution, • AMMA ITAR management for the entire station, • Supporting audits such as Quality, PERAM, HSE, ISO, … and resolving findings or non‑conformities Deliverables • Prepare an operative planning of events/stations to ensure OCOTOQ commitments, • Update operative planning daily as necessary and report to affected areas: Production, Quality, ME, Production Control, …, • Plan defects to avoid impact on planned tasks, • Ensure correct application of processes and rules, • Report monthly incurred status, including BC and WC, • Report weekly qualification status: HPS, AMMA ITAR, AirNav, …, • Weekly resource assignment and fulfil reporting files, • Create Work Order files at the beginning of an event, • Create Defect files at the beginning of an event, • Support area and station improvement projects, • Weekly report with aircraft risks and blocking points, • Support Operational Surveillance activities, • Weekly report with training sessions expected next week, • Control IT Means to avoid incorrect assignment Required Competences • Industrial or aeronautical engineer, or similar, • Native Spanish and fluent English, • Experience in the A400M MRO Production department, • Knowledge of Pelicano Plus and Pelicano Web, • Knowledge of the deviations module in Pelicano Web, • Knowledge of SAP, focusing on incurred transactions, • Knowledge of Excel (Visual Basic), • Knowledge of DEMAT, • Knowledge of PPS tools, • Capacity to adapt to a VUCA environment: stress, conflict management, teamwork Interfaces and Main Stakeholders • Production Control, • Manufacturing Engineering, • Programme, • Quality, • Operations Excellence & Central / Local P&I, • Industrial Management Skills • Degree in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering or related discipline, • At least 1 year of experience in a Production department in an MRO / Part 145 environment, • High adaptability to new topics, new business and network mode, • Experience in managing conflicts, • Advanced level in English, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, • Ability to propose new ideas Benefits • Vacation days plus additional days‑off throughout the year, • Attractive salary, • Collective transport service in some sites, • On‑site facilities (free canteen, kindergarten, medical office), • Possibility to collaborate in social and corporate social responsibility initiatives, • Excellent upskilling opportunities and great development prospects in a multicultural environment Legal and EEO Statement By submitting your CV or application you consent to Airbus using and storing information about you for monitoring purposes relating to your application or future employment.
