while preserving the innovative spirit that makes our school unique. /ph3KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /h3h3Academic Leadership /h3ulliLead the day to day academic operations of the school. /liliEnsure the American curriculum is delivered consistently across all grade levels. /liliOversee student progress, graduation requirements, transcripts, academic records, and academic integrity. /liliMonitor classroom instruction through regular observations and evaluations. /liliProvide coaching, mentoring, and professional development for facilitators. /liliSupport teachers in lesson planning, assessment, grading, and classroom management. /liliEnsure Individual Education Plans (IEPs), accommodations, and learning support plans are implemented consistently. /liliPromote innovation while maintaining high academic standards. /li /ulh3Student Wellbeing and School Culture /h3ulliStrengthen a community where every student feels safe, respected, supported, and that they belong. /liliStrengthen a culture centered on kindness, accountability, inclusion, and respect. /liliStrengthen meaningful relationships between students, families, and staff. /liliStrengthen trust and support positive behavior. /li /ulh3Teacher Leadership /h3ulliMentor and retain exceptional educators. /liliConduct teacher evaluations and provide meaningful feedback. /liliDevelop individualized professional growth plans. /liliLead weekly professional development sessions. /liliBuild a culture of continuous learning and accountability. /liliEnsure teachers understand and consistently follow school policies and academic expectations. /li /ulh3Operations and Compliance /h3ulliDevelop, implement, and improve academic policies, procedures, and operational protocols. /liliWork closely with legal counsel to create, review, and update school policies. /liliEnsure ACIL complies with Spanish education regulations and employment requirements related to academic operations. /liliEnsure all safeguarding, attendance, child protection, assessment, documentation, and emergency protocols are followed consistently. /liliMaintain documentation required by accrediting agencies and government authorities. /liliLead implementation of new systems and technologies that improve efficiency and student experience. /li /ulh3Quality Assurance /h3ulliConduct regular audits of academic operations and school procedures. /liliMonitor implementation of school protocols across all departments. /liliUse data to improve student outcomes and instructional quality. /liliIdentify operational risks and resolve problems before they affect students. /liliMaintain consistency across classrooms while encouraging creativity and innovation. /li /ulh3Family and Community Relations /h3ulliMeet regularly with students and families. /liliSupport admissions by participating in family meetings and school events. /liliResolve academic concerns professionally and collaboratively. /liliRepresent ACIL with universities, government agencies, accreditation organizations, and community partners. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliMaster's degree or higher in Education, Leadership, or a related field. /liliMinimum five years of leadership experience in a startup, an American, international, or innovative school. /liliExperience supervising and evaluating teachers. /liliStrong knowledge of curriculum design, assessment, and instructional coaching. /liliExcellent organizational and project management skills. /liliExceptional written and verbal English communication skills. /liliAbility to build systems and improve operational processes. /liliStrong leadership, decision making, and problem solving skills. /liliHigh attention to detail. /liliComfortable using technology and AI tools. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliExperience with WASC accreditation. /liliKnowledge of Spanish education regulations. /liliExperience leading an international school. /liliExperience
