p h3Postdoctoral Researcher – Overview /h3 pWe are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in applied entomology to join the bSustainable Plant Protection Program /b team, based in bCabrils /b. We offer the opportunity to be part of an organization with a dynamic, collaborative work environment focused on professional development. /p pThe Postdoctoral Researcher will focus on the assessment of sustainable pest control methods and on the development of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies to proactively promote the presence of natural enemies of pests, to monitor them, and to set up biological control strategies in different commodities and storage facilities. /p h3Tasks and Responsibilities /h3 ul liContribute in a proactive manner to the activities of the research line in applied entomology, performing scientific and technical tasks related to the ongoing projects. /li liParticipate in the planning, execution, and analysis of experiments to ensure the achievement of milestones of the research projects. /li liContribute to the scientific production of the research and innovation activities of the Program. /li liUpdate continuously with scientific knowledge to be positively transferred to stakeholders and end-users. /li liHelp positioning the Sustainable Plant Protection Program as a group of excellence through regular peer-reviewed publications and contributions at national and international congresses. /li liCollaborate with teamwork and team-spirit in the Sustainable Plant Protection Program, fostering collaboration and integration activities. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications and Experience /h3 ul liPhD in Agricultural Entomology or related disciplines. /li liProven experience in arthropod pests affecting stored products, with a special focus on their monitoring and management, and an outstanding record of scientific publications in this field. /li liKnowledge of biological control would be an asset. /li liProven research skills: literature review, data analysis, scientific article writing. /li liDissemination skills: presentation/communication skills, and technical writing. /li liProficiency in English, both spoken and written. /li liStrong teamwork skills, ability to adapt to multidisciplinary environments and a focus on professional growth and development. /li liCapacity to prioritize tasks effectively and to anticipate, plan and write R+D projects, reports and technical documents. /li liCapability and ability to learn and successfully work within multidisciplinary teams. /li liTeamwork skills and ability to establish and build relationships that will allow pursuing the objectives of the RD activities. /li liProven experience in supervising students. /li liFlexibility and capacity to adapt. /li liDriving licence. /li liKnowledge of Spanish and/or Catalan is valued. /li /ul h3Advantages of Joining Our Team /h3 ul liContract: temporary full-time position for 3 years /li li37.5 hour workweek, with Friday afternoons off /li liIntensive work schedule from 15/06 to 15/09 /li li3 days of family work conciliation /li li45 hours of personal days /liliFlexible schedule for a good work-life balance /li liContinuous training and professional growth opportunities /li /ul pEqual treatment and equal opportunities are guaranteed for all candidates in the selection process, avoiding stereotypes, bias or barriers linked to gender, sexual orientation, origin, age, ideology, or any other potentially discriminatory condition.
