ppEurecat’s Water, Air and Soil Technology Unit (WAS) develops and optimises technologies and processes aimed at improving the management of water, air and soil, as well as recovering and valorising the resources associated with them. We collaborate with companies from a wide range of sectors on research, development and innovation projects designed to enhance their economic, environmental and social sustainability. /p pWe combine advanced modelling tools with experimental capabilities at laboratory, pilot plant and full scale to develop, optimise and validate new technologies and applications. /p pOur activities encompass pollutant treatment and monitoring, the reduction of pollutant releases into the environment, resource recovery and the transition towards circular economy models. /p pWe design tailored solutions and experimental procedures, supporting companies throughout the innovation process: from initial conceptualisation and testing to demonstration and implementation. This progressive approach helps reduce the technical risks inherent in RDI projects. /p pThe Unit’s multidisciplinary expertise, together with the capabilities of Eurecat’s different technology areas, enables us to address complex and specific challenges in sectors including water treatment, the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries, primary industries and capital goods manufacturing, among others. /p pTo strengthen the WAS Technology Unit team, Eurecat is looking for an experienced (advanced) researcher to contribute to the preparation, coordination and implementation of national and international RDI projects related to biological technologies for the environmental treatment of air and gas streams. /p h3What will you work on? Roles and responsibilities /h3 ul liDrive the development of biological technologies within Eurecat’s Air and Gases research line. /li liIdentify opportunities for new projects and carry out technology scouting and monitoring. /li liLiaise with clients and partners to support project follow-up. /li liPrepare quotations and proposals for new projects at Catalan, Spanish and international level. /li liCoordinate teams and/or manage technical tasks within RDI projects. /li liConceptualise, plan, supervise and carry out project tasks, as well as analyse experimental results. /li /ul h3What are we looking for? /h3 pDo not worry if you do not meet 100% of the requirements. We are looking for committed, creative and versatile professionals with a strong ability to adapt. /p h3Essential Requirements /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering or a related field, together with a Master’s degree in sustainability or a related area. /li liExperience in the biological treatment of gaseous effluents using technologies such as bioscrubbers, biotrickling filters or similar systems. /li liExperience in biological technologies for the valorisation of carbon dioxide and methane. /li liFluency in written and spoken English. /liliExperience in the conceptualisation and preparation of RDI project proposals. /li liAbility to work autonomously, together with responsibility, initiative, scientific rigour and a results-oriented mindset. /li /ul h3Highly valued /h3 ul liPhD in biological technologies for gas stream treatment or a related field. /li liKnowledge of the Catalan, Spanish and European innovation ecosystems, including relevant organisations and competitive funding programmes. /li liScientific and technical knowledge of gaseous emissions monitoring and management. /li liScientific and technical knowledge of carbon dioxide capture and utilisation (CCU) technologies. /li liExperience in the treatment of gaseous effluents using physicochemical technologies such as absorption, adsorption, catalysis or physical separation. /li /ul h3You will probably be a good fit for this position if… /h3 ul liYou have strong scientific and technical expertise in the application of biological technologies for the treatment of gaseous matrices. /li liYou are able to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to several projects simultaneously. /li liYou can effectively manage deadlines and the requirements of private-sector clients and project consortia. /li liYou are comfortable working at laboratory, pilot plant and/or demonstration scale. /li liYou are able to propose technological solutions to real-world challenges faced by companies and society. /li /ul h3This position may not be the best fit for you if… /h3 ul liYou only have a superficial theoretical understanding of biological technologies for gas treatment and no proven practical experience. /li liYou have never worked in a gas laboratory environment, including the design, construction and operation of experimental systems or the use of instrumental analytical techniques. /li liYour experience in air and gas technologies is limited to modelling and simulation, with no experimental laboratory experience. /li liYou would prefer to focus your professional development on academic research rather than transferring knowledge and technologies to companies to improve their competitiveness. /li /ul h3What Eurecat Offers /h3 pEurecat is a leading technology centre in Catalonia, working at the intersection of research, technology transfer, and industrial innovation. /p pAdditionally, you will have these conditions and benefits: /p ul liPermanent contract. /li liHybrid work. /li liFlexible schedule. /li liShorter workday on Fridays and summer schedule. /li liFlexible compensation package: health insurance, transport, lunch vouchers, training, kindergarten, and other benefits. /li liAccess to Eurecat Academy courses. /li liLanguage training in English, Catalan, and Spanish. /li liParticipation in a international sustainability projects with leading academic and industrial partners. /li liThe opportunity to build long-term research lines beyond a single project. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
