You’ll be in good company among our global community of experts leading the future of mainframe modernization. Experts who share knowledge openly and collaborate freely. In this role, you’ll design, build and maintain the high‑volume business logic that runs on the mainframe. At the same time you’ll play a key role in refactoring legacy code to enable modern cloud and mobile applications to seamlessly interact with the mainframe’s core data. /ph3What you will do /h3pMaintain Performance: Prevent decay and find efficiencies: Monitor the architecture and identify opportunities to optimize code to maintain and enhance mainframe performance. /ppDebug and Test: Find and fix: Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions to keep mission‑critical applications running. /ppDevelop for the Future: Bridge the gap: As an instrumental player in modernization, you’ll extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud‑based services. /ph3Who You Are /h3pRequired skills and experience /pulliExperience working as a software engineer on complex software projects. /liliExcellent coding skills and solid development experience (Java, Python, .Net etc.) with debugging and problem‑solving skills. /liliSoftware development methodologies, with demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software. /liliExperienced in relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, REST‑based web services. /liliKnowledge of architecture design - Microservices architecture, containers (Docker k8s), messaging queues. /liliDeep understanding of OOP and design patterns. /li /ulpPreferred skills and experience /pulliBachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. /liliCertification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP) - otherwise, you can obtain certifications with Kyndryl. /liliExperience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices. /li /ulh3Being You /h3pThe “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
