hours: 9:30 am to 6:30 pm (Fridays until 3:00 pm) /li liAvailability to travel across Spain /li /ul h3Role Overview /h3 pThe Grid Connection Permitting Technician will be responsible for leading and coordinating the full permitting process required for Verdalia’s biomethane projects, ensuring all necessary authorisations, agreements, and permits are secured to achieve Ready‑to‑Build (RTB) status. /p pThis role requires extensive experience managing utility connections, infrastructure permitting, rights of way, landowner negotiations, and administrative procedures associated with linear infrastructure projects such as gas pipelines, electrical lines, hydrogen networks, and other energy‑related assets. /p pThe successful candidate will oversee the entire permitting lifecycle, from early‑stage feasibility assessment through final permit acquisition and agreement execution. /p pThe ideal candidate will have strong experience in permitting and stakeholder management for linear infrastructure projects, including gas pipelines, electrical lines, rights of way, road permits, and landowner negotiations, managing the full process from initiation through final authorisation. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Gas Grid Connection /h3 ul liConduct preliminary feasibility analysis (capacity, pressure, distance to grid). /li liLiaise with distribution and transmission operators. /li liRequest and follow up on connection studies. /li liNegotiate technical and economic conditions. /li liCoordinate basic engineering for the connection point. /li liMonitor progress until signing of technical and commercial agreements. /li /ul h3Electrical Connection /h3 ul liApply for grid connection points (self‑consumption or export). /li liCoordinate with electricity distribution companies. /li liTrack access and connection permits. /li liManage associated financial guarantees. /li liCoordinate technically with plant engineering teams. /li /ul h3Access, Roads and Auxiliary Services /h3 ul liProcess road access permits (regional, national, or municipal roads). /li liManage permits with municipalities and sectoral authorities. /li liCoordinate public domain interferences (water authorities, roads, railways such as ADIF, etc.). /li liOversee easements and rights of way. /li liCoordinate permits associated with linear infrastructure projects and utility crossings. /li /ul h3Landowner and Rights of Way Management /h3 ul liLead negotiations with landowners and affected stakeholders. /li liManage land access agreements, easements, and rights of way. /li liSupport the resolution of land‑related issues that may impact project development timelines. /li /ul h3Internal Coordination /h3 ul liWork closely with Engineering and Legal teams. /li liIdentify critical connection and permitting risks at early stages. /li liPropose alternative technical solutions when needed. /li /ul h3Timeline and Risk Management /h3 ul liDevelop and monitor connection and permitting schedules.Identify administrative bottlenecks.Anticipate technical requirements from utilities and authorities. /li liSupport project prioritisation strategy. /li /ul h3Candidate Profile /h3 h3Education /h3 ul liDegree in Engineering (preferably Industrial, Civil, Energy, or similar). /li liSpecialisation in energy regulation, infrastructure, or project development is a plus. /li liProfessional level of English is a plus. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liMinimum 5 years of experience managing permitting processes and administrative procedures for linear infrastructure projects. /li liProven experience handling gas and/or electricity connection permitting processes from initial feasibility assessment through final approval and agreement execution. /li liDemonstrated experience managing easements, rights of way, land access agreements, and negotiations with landowners and affected stakeholders. /li liExperience processing permits related to roads, public domain occupations, utility crossings, and infrastructure authorisations with public administrations and regulatory bodies. /li liProven ability to manage permitting processes end‑to‑end, coordinating all required stakeholders until permits and agreements are secured. /li liExperience working with utilities, infrastructure operators, public administrations, engineering firms, or construction companies. /li liExperience in sectors such as gas infrastructure, electrical infrastructure, hydrogen, biomethane, biogas, utilities, energy infrastructure, or similar environments is highly valued. /li liStrong technical communication skills. /li liResults‑and deadline‑oriented mindset. /li liAbility to manage multiple processes in parallel in a structured way. /li liStrong stakeholder management
