ph3Job Summary /h3 pThe Business Architect's architecture is the "connective tissue" that integrates strategies across multiple programs and projects and ensures alignment with business strategies and outcomes. This "connective tissue" is a series of explicit graphical models that define and describe the goals the business is trying to achieve, the processes needed to meet these goals, the data required, and the roles and responsibilities involved. A key focus of this role is Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Bill of Materials (BOM), Product Design, and Financial Product Costing, ensuring end-to-end alignment between product definition, engineering, manufacturing, and financial performance across the product lifecycle. Architects design processes and documentation that align business practices with strategic goals, lead implementations, optimize supply chain processes, and integrate AI technologies to enhance business planning and decision‑making. They produce supporting materials such as maps, models, process diagrams, and presentations to communicate their vision and guide stakeholders. They also support consultations to assess business capabilities, define goals, and communicate designs to executives, managers, and end users. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liStrategy Vision: Develop the architecture vision and roadmap for the product lifecycle and product costing process transformation, aligning with enterprise and stakeholder goals. Manage the process of identifying opportunities, threats and limitations of the organization and providing insights into the required work to facilitate implementation. /li liDesign Architecture: Create detailed system designs, blueprints, and models for complex supply chain processes, including application considerations (SAP IBP, S/4HANA, MS4, etc.). Research and recommend new technologies (AI, analytics, etc.) to improve efficiency and innovation. /li liBusiness Case Development: Guide investment and ensure new work is consistent with the investment strategy of the organization. Improve decision making on what to work on by ensuring all costs to manifest value are understood. /li liIntegration Leadership: Partner with business leaders, enterprise architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Design integration strategies, data contracts, and APIs for seamless data flow between SAP and non‑SAP systems. /li liGovernance Standards: Lead design governance, ensuring solutions meet security, reliability, and scalability standards. /li liStakeholder Collaboration: Establishment and maintenance of contacts within business units and information system teams to understand business processes and business drivers, business requirements, solutions strategies, alternatives, etc., being considered and/or implemented. Support the resolution of inter and intra program project issues. /li /ul h3Education Experience /h3 ul liFour‑year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. /li liAdvanced University Degree (Preferred) /li liTypically has 7‑10 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, Information Technology, or a related field. /li liProven experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and/or Product Costing within SAP environments (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP PLM, SAP CO‑PC). /li /ul h3Knowledge Skills /h3 ul liDemonstrates strong planning and analysis capabilities, including the development of models, graphical representations, and conceptual abstractions. /li liBrings extensive experience (10+ years) with supply‑chain and enterprise application systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies. /li liApplies advanced communication skills to engage diverse stakeholder groups and influence organizational change. /li liExhibits deep business acumen in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), including BOM, Product Design, and Product Costing, connecting engineering, manufacturing, and finance processes. /li liDemonstrates strong understanding of product data structures, lifecycle processes, and costing methodologies, enabling accurate product valuation and decision‑making. /li liLeverages advanced consulting skills—including problem‑solving, prioritization, multi‑tasking, negotiation, and influence—to support decision‑making and facilitate group sessions. /li /ul h3Preferred Certifications /h3 pNA /p h3Cross-Org Skills /h3 ul liEffective Communication /li liResults Orientation /li liLearning Agility /li liDigital AI Fluency /li liCustomer Centricity /li /ul h3Impact Scope /h3 ul liImpacts function and leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross‑functional initiatives. /li /ul h3Complexity /h3 ul liWorks on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. /li /ul h3Disclaimer /h3 pThis job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
