No /p h3Offer Description /h3 h3Main Responsibilities /h3 pThe successful candidate will provide technical support for a state-of-the-art non-linear photonics laboratory. /p h3Lab Operations and Maintenance /h3 ul liClean, inspect and maintain optical components, including mirrors, lenses, beam splitters, microscope objectives, fibre connectors and other precision optics. /li liPrepare lab equipment for daily operation, including lasers, electronic instrumentation and optical measurement systems. /li liVerify lab instruments are properly calibrated and operated, including optical power meters, optical spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, RF analysers and similar diagnostic equipment. /li liKeep the lab clean, safe and organised. /li liAssemble and organise optical tables, secure cables, install optical mounts and perform general lab maintenance. /li /ul h3Optical Fibre and Photonics Support /h3 ul liHandle optical fibres, including stripping, cleaving, fusion splicing, connector preparation, polishing and inspection. /li liAssist in assembling, modifying and maintaining fibre-based experimental setups. /li liAssist in aligning and optimising optical systems, cavities, interferometers and free-space beam paths. /li liPerform routine optical measurements and diagnostic tests to monitor system performance and identify potential issues. /li /ul h3Mechanical and Electronic Support /h3 ul liAssemble and modify mechanical fixtures, optical mounts and lab infrastructure. /li liPerform basic electronic assemblies, wiring, troubleshooting and electronic component replacements, where required. /li liContribute to designing and fabricating custom lab components using CAD software and additive manufacturing (3D printing). /li liParticipate in developing vibration‑isolation and temperature‑stabilisation solutions for precision optical experiments. /li /ul h3Instrumentation and Data Acquisition /h3 ul liConfigure laboratory instrumentation for automated measurements. /li liAssist in acquiring computer‑controlled data, synchronising lab instruments and basic programming for measurement systems. /li /ul h3Inventory and Lab Management /h3 ul liMaintain an inventory of lab consumables and spare parts. /li liOrganise storage areas, label equipment and ensure lab material traceability. /li liCoordinate consumable and technical supply purchases where necessary. /liliEnsure compliance with laser safety procedures. /li liMaintain laser safety equipment, including protective eyewear and warning systems. /li liContribute to implementing lab safety protocols and safety data sheets. /li /ul pMaster’s Degree in Photonics, Optics, Electronics, Telecommunications, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. /p h3Specific Requirements /h3 ul liOptical alignment and free-space optics. /li liOptical fibre handling and fusion splicing. /li liFamiliarity with laser laboratories and photonics instrumentation. /li liBasic programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Octave or similar environments). /li liCAD software and 3D printing. /li liBasic electronics and laboratory instrumentation skills. /li liScientific data acquisition and instrument automation. /li liKnowledge of laser safety procedures. /li /ul h3Language Requirements /h3 pA solid command of oral English for communication in research settings will be considered an asset. /p h3Prior Experience /h3 pNo previous experience is required. /p pYears of Research Experience: 1 - 4 /p pPlanned end date of the tasks subject to the contract: Friday, August 31, 2029 /p pCompensation may be higher where the successful candidate accredits recognised professional experience. /p pNational Social Security Insurance (Public Health Insurance) /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
