THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL - 10k Sign-on Bonus! \n \n Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Service Manager who is a positive change agent and can drive high customer satisfaction, while leading a service team along with a back-office team to support a business that is experiencing exciting growth. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has experience managing a team in the fire detection, protection, security, and electrical industries and is ready to assume ownership of a Division service management role, while being part of a vibrant national organization. \n \n WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!) \n \n\n • Manage the service department of assigned Division.\n, • Supervise, train, and develop all branch associates, including technicians, service coordinators, billing coordinators, and dispatchers.\n, • Responsible for the scheduling, execution, billing and completion of service, warranty, and emergency jobs.\n, • Responsible for executing service inspections on time and resolution of system deficiencies.\n, • Responsible for developing a budget and meeting revenue and gross margin targets.\n, • Responsible for delivering projects within the original budgeted cost.\n, • Responsible for executing monthly financial performance analysis. Reports the information in an effective manner to management and takes corrective action as needed.\n, • Responsible for efficient asset management, such as inventory and company service vehicles.\n, • Responsible for building a high-performance culture to include annual performance reviews and development initiatives.\n, • Responsible for manpower planning and allocation.\n, • Responsible in part for customer satisfaction and cash collections.\n, • Works closely with the sales and installation teams to support the growth and profitability of the Division.\n, • Responsible for control and calibration of inspection, measuring, and testing equipment.\n, • Responsible to ensure all employees embrace our safety culture and comply with all safety initiatives.\n\n WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU \n \n\n • Two to five years of experience in a service operations manager role within the fire detection, fire protection, security, or electrical environment.\n, • Ability to effectively communicate to a diverse group of individuals, including company leadership, regional staff, customers, and vendors.\n, • Strong, positive team builder with leadership ability.\n, • Knowledge of current fire alarm, clean agent/special hazard fire suppression, security, and electrical systems.\n, • Strong understanding of Profit and Loss statements and key financial drivers.\n, • Ability to attract, develop, grow, and retain a team.\n, • Ability to understand the technical aspects of the product lines and applications as necessary to make informed management decisions.\n, • Valid driver’s license.\n, • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.\n, • Able to work independently.\n, • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.\n, • Proficient in NFPA codes and standards.\n, • Strong computer skills; proficient at Microsoft Office.\n, • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.\n, • NICET Level II.\n\n \n WHAT WE’RE BRINGING TO THE TABLE \n\n • Competitive salary based on qualifications.\n, • Paid time off plan and holidays.\n, • 401(k) matching.\n, • Short term and long-term disability.\n, • Medical, dental, and vision plans with options.\n, • Life insurance.\n, • Company cell phone, laptop, and vehicle.\n, • Professional career development opportunities.\n\n \n \n \n \n Pay Rate: $75,000- $100,000 annually depending on experience.
