Laundry Assistant - Private - New York

Are you a highly reliable and customer-focused individual looking for a part-time opportunity? We are seeking a Laundry Assistant to immediately join our team on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

This role offers flexible part-time hours, including some weekday afternoons (3:00 PM - 7:00 PM) and Saturdays (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), with a pay rate of $20 per hour. Please note, this is not a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting customers with the proper use of washers and dryers.
• Ensuring washers and dryers are clean and well-maintained.
• Operating the cash register and credit card machine for customer payments.
• Texting customers when their laundry is ready for pickup.
• Creating tickets for customer laundry bags.
• Transporting laundry bags to the basement for the morning wash and fold team.
• Performing closing duties, including bringing in outdoor furniture, taking out trash, turning off computer and lights, and preparing the store for the next morning.

What We're Looking For:

• Exceptional Customer Relations: You should be a people person who genuinely enjoys interacting with customers, making them feel welcome, and assisting them with their needs. Empathy and understanding are key.
• Punctuality and Reliability: Being on time is crucial. We expect you to be ready to start work no later than 2:45 PM for a 3:00 PM shift. If you have a habit of unreliability or last-minute cancellations, this position is not suitable for you. Consistent attendance and commitment are essential.
• A history of stable employment is a strong indicator of whether you are a good fit for this role.
