The Concierge Associate is the ultimate guide through the guests’ experience when planning events at The Woman’s Club of Ridgewood  ( (WCOR). Event Rental income helps maintain expenses and allows us to give to charity, which requires a special person to create the experience. As an Concierge Assistant  you will be assuming the role of tour guide, communicator, entertainer, and event planner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the Hotel Travel Industry.
Our team members are the key to our company’s success, and their health and well-being, as well as that of their families, is very important to us. We offer a flexible work schedule to allow members to maintain a healthy work balance.


  • Greeting guests.
  • Answering questions - accurately and politely.
  • Answering the phone.
  • Understanding of Quickbooks and invoicing
  • Directing guests to areas/restrooms.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of the technical products.
  • Determining guests’ needs - by actively engaging them in 1-on-1 conversations and informing guests of product features & benefits.
  • Suggestive selling - using proven techniques (i.e., related items, higher-quality items, transitional phrases).
  • Maintaining a clean and organized supplies
  • Maintaining proper product stock levels – through retail pulls & inventories.
  • Performing opening, closing & side duties –  
  • Assuring the complete satisfaction of each and every guest.
  • Creating memorable experiences.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency.
  • Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to move monitor events for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit set up tables and chairs
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
  • Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion. 
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, cleaning chemicals, and loud/noisy environment. 
  • Available to be onsite within 30 minutes


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to be on site within 30 minutes a MUST
  • Maintaining a well-groomed appearance
  • Following all Board of Health uniform guidelines. 
  • Practicing all general safety & sanitation standards.
  • Recycling products, where possible.
