We are offering a SIGN-ON BONUS of up to $500 for the Fish and Meat Department (must meet all requirements- payments will be distributed during a specified timeline). Role and Responsibilities As a member of Citarella’s Meat and Seafood Team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest service while maintaining deep knowledge of our premium seafood offerings. This position requires pride in product presentation, attention to safety and sanitation standards, and a strong sense of teamwork. You will be responsible for merchandising, product rotation, waste monitoring, and engaging with guests to provide an outstanding shopping experience. • Provide exceptional guest service to drive sales and ensure satisfaction., • Use suggestive selling techniques to promote seafood products., • Receive, unload, and break down deliveries; stock and rotate merchandise., • Ensure all items meet Citarella’s high-quality standards before display., • Prepare seafood items, including cleaning and cooking shrimp and lobster., • Maintain and restock displays while ensuring proper rotation and facing of products., • Apply basic knife skills to prepare seafood as needed., • Adhere to all Department of Health (DOH), Department of Agriculture (DOA), and OSHA safety and sanitation standards., • Use and manage cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety protocols., • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and management., • Maintain a professional, respectful, and guest-facing demeanor at all times., • Complete all assigned duties as directed by the management team. Requirements • 6 months to 1 year of experience in seafood handling, guest service, and sales., • Strong guest service and merchandising skills., • Ability to retain and apply product knowledge., • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment., • Problem-solving ability and sense of urgency., • Team player with a willingness to support fellow associates., • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Cook- Back of House Associates are responsible for preparation and maintenance of all hot bar, cold bar and salad bar Role/Responsibilities • Prepare food items for To Go bars including hot/cold bars, salad bars, • Ensure all products meet Citarella standards of quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation, • Monitor food levels and replenish items in a timely manner, • Ensure proper dating, labeling, rotation, and storage of product, • Maintain clean and organized work stations and surrounding areas, • Maintain safety, cleanliness and display standards in compliance with Citarella policies and food safety handling procedures., • Provide exceptional customer service, • Other reasonably assigned duties as per business need Minimum Qualifications • 1+ year experience working in a kitchen or food service preparation role (restaurant/catering/hotel experience is preferred), • Prior grill, saute, or related kitchen station experience, • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced environment, • Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor, • Ability to visually examine products for quality/ freshness and execute product batches per Citarella standards/recipes, • Ability to work both independently as well as with a team, • Effective communication/ interpersonal skills and ability to take direction, • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, • Willingness and ability to learn about our products, • Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift, carry, push and pull weights, • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays At Citarella, we value a diverse, inclusive workforce and we provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees. Role Overview: As a member of the Cheese Department, the Cheese Counter Associate takes pride in having a vast knowledge of our cheese products. They will deliver exceptional guest service, be responsible for display items for the department, monitor waste, and be a strong team player. Responsibilities & Duties: • Help department to maximize sales by providing exceptional guest service., • Ability to increase sales by upselling, and suggestively selling products to every guest., • Responsible for product rotation, facing, restocking, product displays., • Clean and maintain department equipment (cutting boards, scales, cheese knives, etc.)., • Basic knife handling skills, • Cut, wrap, and clean various types of cheeses., • Adhere to all DOH, DOA and OSHA standards., • Keep records of temperatures and record inventory of products to determine what needs to be ordered and replenished., • Follow, maintain and perform safety and sanitation procedures; throughout all shifts., • Communicate effectively with peers and management., • Always maintain professionalism and treat everyone with respect and courtesy., • Must always be guest focus and forward facing. Minimum Requirements: • Minimum of 1 year in experience in a grocery store environment., • Exceptional guest service, • Must have a general knowledge of cheese and dairy products., • Some knowledge of tastings and pairings, • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays., • Perform physical requirements of job including standing during scheduled hours, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, lifting, push and pull items of usually 20-50 pounds., • Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment., • Basic knife handling skills, this may include the use of a deli slicer., • Food safety and sanitation knowledge., • Ability to show initiative, work with limited supervision, and are self-motivated., • Be brand ambassador for Citarella., • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities & Duties: • Help department to maximize sales by providing exceptional guest service., • Ability to increase sales by suggestively selling products to every guest., • Unload products from truck, break down pallets, take in deliveries, and separate produce for sales floor, and cooler., • Process and/or wraps produce items prior to filling displays., • Basic knife skills., • Responsible for product rotation, facing, restocking, culling, product displays., • Adhere to all DOH, DOA and OSHA standards. Handle chemicals (spectrum veggie wash and sanitize solution)., • Follow, maintain and perform safety and sanitation procedures; throughout all shifts., • Communicate effectively with peers and management., • Always maintain professionalism and treat everyone with respect and courtesy., • Must always be guest focus and forward facing., • Adhere to all assigned duties by management team. Minimum Requirements • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year with food handling, guest service and sales experience., • Exceptional guest service, organization, and merchandizing skills., • Ability to retain product knowledge., • Ability to act with a sense of urgency and remain productive in a fast-paced environment., • Must possess problem solving skills., • Empowered team player willing to assist fellow associates.
