Job Description Contract to direct/direct hire opportunities We are seeking a skilled Mechanical/Electrical Assembly Technician to assemble large industrial machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This position requires experience with mechanical assembly, electrical component installation, and interpreting blueprints and schematics. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing high-quality equipment while working safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities • Assemble large mechanical and electrical machines, equipment, and subassemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications., • Install mechanical components including frames, motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic components., • Perform electrical assembly tasks such as routing and terminating wires, installing control panels, sensors, switches, and electrical devices., • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and bills of materials., • Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and assembly equipment., • Inspect completed assemblies to verify proper fit, alignment, and functionality while maintaining quality standards., • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and basic electrical assembly issues as needed., • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet production schedules and customer expectations., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures. Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment., • Experience assembling large industrial equipment, machinery, or automated systems., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation., • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and precision measuring instruments., • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work., • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with industrial automation equipment, conveyors, robotics, or custom machinery., • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems., • Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment., • Electrical wiring or panel assembly experience., • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
