Weekend and overtime work may be required. Position Summary The QA Operator is responsible for monitoring product quality, food safety, and GMP compliance throughout production. This role conducts inspections, testing, documentation, and product evaluations to ensure all products meet company and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities • Perform quality checks and testing for milk receiving, ingredient processing, kettle operations, filling, and packaging., • Conduct temperature, pH, butterfat, acidity, salt, Brix, viscosity, weight, seal, code, labeling, and sensory evaluations., • Verify metal detector and X-ray performance., • Collect retain, environmental, water, and microbiological samples; perform plating and incubation., • Complete pre-operational inspections, including ATP, allergen, magnet, cooler, and sanitizer checks., • Accurately complete and maintain all required quality documentation., • Identify and address GMP, food safety, and quality concerns, including placing products on hold when necessary., • Train and coach employees on GMP and food safety requirements.Qualifications, • Strong attention to detail and communication skills., • Ability to work in a team environment and make sound quality-related decisions., • Basic understanding of science and high school-level math, including algebra., • Previous QA, food manufacturing, or laboratory experience preferred., • Knowledge of GMPs and food safety practices preferred.Physical Requirements, • Stand for most of the shift., • Work in a production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels., • Climb ladders and work at heights up to 8 feet., • Ability to work extended hours as needed.Equipment Used, • Laboratory testing equipment and quality monitoring systems, including kettle release systems.
