Please Consider Applying Through This Link:https://americanbankmontana.bamboohr.com/jobs/ Reports To: VP, Branch Manager Position Status: Full-time, Exempt Position Summary: A Commercial Lender is responsible for developing and managing commercial and consumer banking relationships by helping clients obtain appropriate lending solutions through relationship building, financial analysis, and sound credit judgement. This position manages an assigned loan portfolio, provides quality customer service, supports business development efforts, and ensures compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Interview loan applicants and collect, analyze, and evaluate financial and related information to determine creditworthiness and the merits of commercial and consumer loan requests., • Structure and negotiate loan terms, including rates, repayment schedules, collateral requirements, and other conditions within bank policy and lending authority., • Approve loans within assigned lending authority and serve as the relationship manager or contact officer for loans requiring additional approval. Prepare loan presentations and supporting documentation for Bank Manager, President, and Chief Credit Officer, as needed., • Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial and consumer clients by providing responsive service and identifying appropriate banking solutions., • Monitor loan portfolio performance by reviewing financial information, collateral, payment activity, and other indicators of credit quality. Take appropriate action on past due or problem accounts., • Perform credit analysis, underwriting, and credit administration duties for assigned loan relationships and, where applicable, support the portfolio management needs of senior lenders., • Manage construction loan administration for assigned construction lending relationships, including documentation review, inspections, draw processing, and ongoing monitoring., • Maintain accurate and complete loan documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, bank policies, and underwriting standards., • Advise customers, when appropriate, on business, financial, and borrowing matters to support long-term financial success and relationship growth., • Develop new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, and cross-selling of bank products and services., • Serve as a resource for customers regarding additional bank products and services, coordinating with internal partners when appropriate., • Assist in developing business development strategies, portfolio growth goals, and individual performance objectives., • Participate in community and professional organizations to enhance the Banks community presence and cultivate new business opportunities., • Satisfactorily complete all required compliance bank training and comply with all regulations which apply within the scope of the position., • Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics required. Experience: Minimum of three years in commercial lending or commercial credit administration. Skills: • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with high emotional intelligence., • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly present financial and credit analysis., • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy., • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong critical thinking and a commitment for continuous improvement and quality outcomes., • Ability to effectively prioritize workload, manage multiple deadlines, and delegate tasks when appropriate., • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and financial spreading or credit analysis software skills. Work Environment: • Work environment is indoors in a clean atmosphere with normal noise levels., • Ability to work under time constraints and pressure is required., • Exposed to a potentially hazardous condition robbery. Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed to minimize the risk., • Normal hours of work Monday-Friday 8:00AM 5:00PM or as necessary to complete duties. Essential Functions: • Critical sensory abilities are seeing, hearing/listening, touching, and speaking., • Mental effort requirements include reading, writing, basic arithmetic, mathematics, visualizing conclusions, analyzing data, searching for solutions, creating methodologies, conducting research, and managing resources., • Physical dexterity requirements include operating general office equipment such as telephone, computer, calculator, photocopier, and postage machine. Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl., • Physical requirements include standing for long periods when providing customer service, sitting, walking, and must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs. waist high and 20 lbs. shoulder high. Travel Requirements: • I understand that even though my primary work assignment will be in the Livingston branch; I agree to go to any other location requested by management. I understand that such temporary re-assignment will require the use of my personal vehicle. If I am requested to spend the entire day at a non-primary location, American Bank will pay for my time spent traveling which is inclusive from the time I leave my home to the time I return to my home. In addition, any time that I use my personal vehicle in such travel, I understand that American Bank will reimburse my mileage at the current designated IRS mileage reimbursement rate.
