We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Site Operative to help maintain high standards of cleanliness across our site, including production areas, warehouses, offices, and external grounds. In this varied, hands-on role, you'll also provide support across production, packing, and warehouse operations as required. Hours: This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week The role: In this varied role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and operational compliance across the site. You'll support production and warehouse operations as required, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures, audit requirements, and quality standards. Key Duties Ensure cleaning activities are carried out in line with site standards and accurately recorded and verified Maintain all areas in an audit-ready condition at all times Adhere to all cleaning and operational schedules and timelines Use and maintain cleaning equipment to the highest standards Follow colour-coding procedures correctly across all areas Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and company policies Undertake manual tipping of raw materials Provide cover for production and warehouse roles as required Carry out CCP checks in accordance with site procedures Conduct flour testing to ensure customer specifications are met Assist with maintenance activities when required Complete all relevant records and reports accurately and in a timely manner, including safety-related reporting Work flexibly across different areas of the site to meet operational needs Attend and participate in all required training Carry out pest control activities in line with company standards Ensure compliance with waste, effluent, and environmental requirements Carry out bin dipping checks as required Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by your Line Manager About you: You must hold a valid and in date Counterbalance Forklift truck licence Effective communication skills both written and oral Flexible and willing to learn Ability to work to deadlines Computer literate Team player Ability to remain calm when under pressure Keen eye for detail Adaptable and flexible to meet changing needs Desirable: Level 2 (Basic) Certificate in Food Safety Previous experience within the food industry Manual handling At Whitworth Brothers ltd, we've been milling quality flour for over 130 years-and we're still growing strong.
