Job Title \n 2nd Fix Joiner (Nights) \n Location \n Dunelm Store, Chester \n Hours \n Night Shift \n\n • Start Time: 5:00 PM\n, • Shift duration as required by project schedule\n, • Potential for overtime and weekend work where necessary\n\n Role Overview \n Time Recruitment are currently working working with a well established business who due to a new project starting are seeking experienced 2nd Fix Joiners to join our night-shift refurbishment team working within the retail environment at Dunelm, Chester. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out high-quality finishing joinery works, ensuring all installations meet company and client standards while maintaining a safe and productive working environment. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Carry out all aspects of 2nd fix joinery work.\n, • Install internal doors, frames, skirting boards and architraves.\n, • Fit wall panelling, timber cladding and decorative finishes.\n, • Install counters, display units, shelving and retail fixtures.\n, • Complete finishing works to a high standard within programme deadlines.\n, • Read and interpret drawings and site instructions.\n, • Work closely with site management and other trades.\n, • Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times.\n, • Adhere to health and safety regulations and site procedures.\n, • Report any defects, issues or material shortages to the Site Manager.\n\n Essential Requirements \n\n • Proven experience as a 2nd Fix Joiner.\n, • Valid CSCS Card.\n, • Own tools and PPE.\n, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n, • Strong attention to detail and workmanship.\n, • Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.\n, • Experience working on retail fit-out or refurbishment projects.\n\n Desirable Requirements \n\n • IPAF and/or PASMA qualifications.\n, • Previous experience working on Dunelm or other retail fit-out projects.\n, • First Aid qualification.\n\n Personal Attributes \n\n • Strong work ethic.\n, • Excellent communication skills.\n, • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.\n, • Commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.\n, • Flexible and adaptable approach to work requirements.\n\n \n This role is ideal for an experienced joiner with a strong background in retail fit-outs who takes pride in delivering high-quality finishing work within a fast-paced construction environment.
