Key Responsibilities\n\n • \n Providing personalised support to children with a range of special educational needs \n • \n Assisting in the planning and delivery of creative, therapeutic, and inclusive activities \n • \n Promoting safety, emotional well-being, and positive engagement \n • \n Supporting pupils with daily routines, emotional regulation, and developing independence \n • \n Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families through clear and consistent communication \nContract Details\n\n • \n Location: Southampton and surrounding areas \n • \n Position: SEN Teaching Assistant \n • \n Start Date:September 2026 \n • \n Contract Type: Full-time, with temp-to-perm pathways available \n • \n Pay Rate: From £13.96 per hour \n • \n Working Hours: 08:30am - 15:30pm (may vary slightly from school to school) \nRequirements\n To be considered for this role, you must: \n\n • \n Have the Right to Work in the UK \n • \n Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply) \n • \n Provide professional references covering the past 24 months, ideally involving work with children or vulnerable individuals \n • \n Hold a Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, education, or a related field (or have relevant experience) \nWhat We Offer\n\n • \n Free accredited CPD, including safeguarding, behaviour management, and de-escalation \n • \n Access to our specialist In-house Training and Development Team \n • \n Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant who understands SEN and Alternative Provision environments \nRefer a Friend\n Know someone who would be a great fit for SEN or Alternative Provision work?
