    After-School Nanny / Family Helper Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:30pm – 8:00pm Children: 4 years old and 2 years old We are looking for a reliable, caring and energetic After-School Nanny / Family Helper to assist with two young children and help with the evening routine. The ideal person must genuinely enjoy being around children, be patient, responsible and confident caring for young children. Key Responsibilities • Assist with picking up the children from school/nursery alongside the parent, • Engage with the children through play, games and age-appropriate activities, • Keep the children entertained and actively involved rather than relying on screens, • Prepare and serve the children's dinner (no cooking required), • Encourage and assist the children with eating where required, • Clear and tidy up after meals and the children's activities, • Help with the children's evening and bedtime routine, • Bath the children when required, • Get the children changed and ready for bed, • Settle and put the children to bed, • Keep children's play and living areas clean and organised, • Carry out light household cleaning and tidying during quieter periods The Ideal Person We are looking for someone who is: • Naturally good with young children, • Caring, patient and attentive, • Energetic and happy to actively play and engage with the children, • Reliable and punctual, • Clean, tidy and organised, • Able to use initiative without needing constant instructions, • Comfortable helping with light household duties, • Confident managing the routine of a 2-year-old and 4-year-old Previous childcare or nanny experience is preferred. References may be required. This role would suit someone looking for a consistent, long-term weekday position with a family.
