Our engineering and manufacturing clients are seeking a UK Quality Manager to join their growing team.The UK Quality Manager will split their time across 2 sites Farnborough and Fareham, so you must be commutable and able to visit both.Duties & Responsibilities:Production & RMA QualityDefine and ensure compliance with workmanship standards across both sites, including but not limited to painting, plating, welding (Def Stan), IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620Align and harmonise technician training and SOPs in partnership with production teams and Quality Engineers at each siteMeasure and report internal failure rates; implement corrective actions to reduce internal and external failure costs across both sitesFacilitate cross-site learning and standardisation of quality controlsSupplier QualityWork with Procurement teams at both sites to manage supplier approval processes and ensure ERP systems are accurate and alignedMonitor and report supplier performance and lead quality improvement activities with Procurement to reduce failure costsDrive standardisation of supplier performance metrics and feedback loopsQMS / EMSEnsure continued ISO 9001 certification for both sites, with all internal audits and management reviews completed on scheduleManage all QMS/EMS documentation and change control to reflect current practices and UK-wide alignmentHost NQA audits for both sites, targeting zero non-conformitiesEnsure compliance with all applicable mandatory environmental legislation at both sites and maintain necessary records in line with legal requirementsHealth & SafetyEnsure legal and company H&S responsibilities are met at both sitesConduct and review H&S risk assessments, policies, and accident investigations Ensure near-miss and incident reporting is consistent and leads to meaningful actionOversee H&S training, safe systems of work, equipment checks, and competence reviews across both sitesCustomer InterfaceAct as lead QHSE contact for both sites during customer visits and communicationsManage the customer complaints process ensuring swift response, investigation, resolution, and communicationSupport the customer satisfaction survey process and maintain all customer-specific quality documentationTeam ManagementLead, mentor, and support Quality Engineers and supporting roles across both sitesSet and monitor individual and team objectives, including daily/weekly priorities Conduct performance reviews and escalate concerns where appropriateFoster consistency and shared purpose between sites, encouraging collaborationRequired skills & experience3 years+ experience within a quality management positionExperience working within a manufacturing environmentExperienced auditorDemonstratable track record or quality improvements and rework reductionWorking hours: 38 hours per week Monday-FridayMust be able to travel to both Farnborough and FarehamTPBN1_UKTJ
