Location: Harrow \n Pay Rate: From £45.00 per hour \n Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing \n Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with experience supporting learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)? We are currently seeking a PMLD Lecturer to join a supportive and inclusive Further Education setting in Harrow. \n This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate professional who is committed to helping learners with complex needs develop independence, communication skills and achieve their full potential in a safe and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities\n\n • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning sessions for learners with PMLD and complex learning needs.\n, • Develop individualised learning programmes that support learners' Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).\n, • Support learners in developing communication, independence, sensory and life skills.\n, • Create an inclusive and positive learning environment that promotes participation and achievement.\n, • Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, Therapists, Parents and Multi-Disciplinary Teams.\n, • Assess, monitor and record learner progress against individual targets.\n, • Develop and adapt learning resources to meet the needs of learners with varying cognitive, sensory and physical needs.\n, • Promote learner wellbeing, confidence, independence and social interaction.\n, • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and equality and diversity policies are consistently followed.\n, • Participate in reviews, meetings and quality assurance processes as required.\nSkills & Experience Required\n\n, • Experience teaching or supporting learners with PMLD, SLD, ASD, Complex Needs or SEND.\n, • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive learning strategies.\n, • Experience developing personalised learning plans and target-setting.\n, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n, • Ability to build positive relationships with learners, families and professionals.\n, • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.\n, • Patient, nurturing and learner-centred approach.\n, • Knowledge of EHCPs and SEND frameworks.\n, • Experience within Further Education, Supported Learning or Specialist Education settings is desirable.\nQualifications Required\n\n, • Teaching Qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent).\n, • Level 2 English and Maths (minimum).\n, • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable but not essential.\n, • SEND, PMLD or Specialist Education training desirable.\n, • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.\n\n If this role sounds of interest, then, Apply Today!
