This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and passionate food professional to drive kitchen standards, develop seasonal menus and lead a motivated team within a growing hospitality business. The role: Managing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen across a seven-day trading operation Preparing and overseeing breakfast, lunch, evening meal and wood-fired pizza services Creating staff rotas to ensure effective staffing levels and service delivery Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, consistency and cleanliness Working closely with the Front of House Manager to deliver an exceptional customer experience Developing seasonal specials and themed menus whilst reviewing menu performance and profitability Preparing and cooking fresh food to a consistently high standard Managing food ordering, supplier relationships and stock control Monitoring food costs, reducing waste and driving kitchen efficiency Supervising, training and developing kitchen staff, apprentices and trainees Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, allergen and health & safety regulations Maintaining excellent food safety standards and environmental health compliance The successful candidate: Previous experience in a senior kitchen leadership role within a restaurant, café, bistro or similar environment Experience preparing and serving fresh food in a busy hospitality setting Strong leadership, organisational and people management skills Experience managing stock, ordering and food costs Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety requirements Passion for menu development and creating innovative food concepts Ability to motivate, develop and support a diverse team Flexible approach to working hours across a seven-day operation Desirable: Experience with wood-fired pizza preparation and cooking Experience mentoring apprentices, students or trainees Additional Information: Busy café and restaurant environment Significant opportunity to influence menu development and business growth Suitable for an ambitious food professional looking to lead and develop a successful kitchen operation Glu Recruit LTD are an equal opportunities employer and are acting as a recruitment agent in the hiring of this role.
