We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity at The Heyford – we need an experienced and enthusiastic Head Chef for our stylish boutique hotel.
As Head chef, you will report to the Hotel General Manager with complete responsibility for all aspects of food production, from sourcing suppliers to delivering customer excellence in the finished dish. You will have full reign when writing all the menus, ensuring these are changed and developed through the seasonal changes and daily where required. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for a team of + 10 chefs
As Head Chef, you can look forward to the following:
- Basic salary from £45,000.00 -£50,000.00 (Depending on Experience)+ bonus +Benefits (Private Healthcare, Pension)

The ideal Head Chef will have the following:
- Current experience within a busy multi-outlet Hotel operation within the UK
- Background cooking British/European food
- Be able to work a minimum 48 hours a week
- Available to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays if required.
- Capable of achieving the 5 Star EHO classification.
- Capable of completing food hygiene documents to comply with the law and writing environmental health reports when necessary.
- Have a can-do approach
- Demonstrate ideas of how the food offering can be developed and standards improved when being interviewed.
- Hold the experience to manage the multi menu requirements and busy hotel operation.
- Display the experience of kitchen management to operate a quality, effective and cost-controlled kitchen operation.
- Managing inventory and keeping control of stock.
- Proven record of team selection and retention that supports the development of excellent standards.
- Ability and passion to lead and develop the Brigades skills and to build a strong successful team through training and coaching.
