ABOUT US \n ConnectFutures exists to help young people stay safe and thrive in a world full of online harms, building resilience to exploitation, hate, extremism and disinformation through creative, research-led training that reaches classrooms, youth settings and communities across the UK. This role sits at the operational heart of that mission. By coordinating training bookings and logistics, supporting facilitators in the field, and keeping scheduling, records and systems running smoothly, you make sure that impactful training reaches the young people who need it. It is hands-on and varied work, and every session you help resource is one more group of young people better equipped to navigate the pressures they face online and offline. \n ConnectFutures is a Birmingham-based social enterprise that has worked with young people, communities and practitioners since 2013, with partners including the King's Trust, MOPAC and St Giles Trust. You would be joining passionate colleagues who care about the difference they make, in a role where the operational work has visible purpose behind it. \n ROLE PURPOSE \n The Training Delivery Lead holds end-to-end accountability for the operational performance of Connect Futures' training function. This is a newly created role, established to bring strategic oversight and clear leadership to a function that has grown significantly in scope and complexity. \n The postholder is the primary relationship holder for training clients and funders, the decision-maker on operational matters, and the sign-off authority across the full project lifecycle - from initial enquiry through to funder reporting. They work in close partnership with the Training Delivery Coordinator, who manages the day-to-day administrative running of projects, and with the Lead Facilitator, who owns trainer management and delivery quality. \n KEY RESPONSIBILITIES \n Client & Funder Relationship Management \n\n • Serve as the primary point of contact for private clients and funders throughout the full project lifecycle.\n, • Lead initial scoping calls to understand client needs, agree content approach, and confirm project parameters.\n, • Provide regular client updates on evaluation, and project progress, including weekly check-ins where required.\n, • Manage funder relationships at project close-out, responding to cost queries and status updates.\n\n Project Coordination \n\n • Own the project record in Monday.com, ensuring it accurately reflects the status of all active engagements.\n, • Review and coordinate contracts prior to project commencement; ensure all signed documents are filed..\n, • Make geography and scheduling decisions, including the appropriate mix of primary, secondary and SEN settings.\n, • Lead school recruitment outreach with particular intensity during peak season (October to March).\n, • Handle schools requiring pre-approval of training materials, liaising with the Programs function as needed.\n\n Governance & Reporting \n\n • Review and sign off all mandatory funder reports before submission.\n, • Oversee the assignment of trainers to each session in partnership with the Lead Facilitator.\n, • Escalate operational issues and organisational risks to the Director of Operations as appropriate.\n\n Internal Leadership \n\n • Provide direction and support to the Training Delivery Coordinator on a dotted-line basis, maintaining clear role boundaries and accountability.\n, • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training operations, identifying process gaps and proposing solutions.\n, • Work cross-functionally with Programs, Operations and Communications to ensure joined-up delivery.\n\n PERSON SPECIFICATION \n Essential \n\n • Demonstrable experience managing end-to-end projects, ideally in an education, charity or training context.\n, • Strong relationship management skills, with confidence leading client calls and managing funder expectations.\n, • Experience overseeing project management tools (Monday.com or equivalent) at a programme level.\n, • Sound judgement and decision-making ability; able to escalate appropriately without over-dependence.\n, • High standard of written and verbal communication.\n, • Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities across a busy project portfolio.\n\n Desirable \n\n • Experience working within a school-facing or DSL engagement context.\n, • Familiarity with funder compliance and mandatory reporting requirements.\n, • Experience working in or alongside a charity restructure.\n, • Understanding of safeguarding practice in a training or youth-work environment.\n, • Experience using Xero, Canva or Google Workspace.\n\n KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS \n Measure and Indicator of Success \n\n • Client relationship quality: Positive client feedback; repeat bookings; timely responses to queries\n, • Project delivery against plan: Sessions delivered on schedule; Monday.com records kept current\n, • Funder reporting compliance: Reports submitted on time and signed off without errors\n, • School recruitment targets met: Booking numbers achieved within agreed project timelines\n, • Cross-functional collaboration: Positive feedback from Programs, Operations and Lead Facilitator\n\n Job details: \n\n • Reports to: Director of Operations\n, • Direct reports / oversight: Training Delivery Coordinator\n, • Consultant: rolling 12-month consultancy / fixed-term contract.
