Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company, to recruit an Electrical Technician for their Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Station in Rochester, Kent.The vital Electrical Technician role comes with a basic salary up to £51,484 + Bonus + Overtime + skills shortage allowance + other excellent benefits.If you're an experienced Electrical Technician and are looking to work for a leading organisation who invests in training and professional development of their employees, then upload your CV to apply today.Responsibilities and dutiesReporting to the Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:Fault-finding and maintaining electrical assets including motors, switchgear, transformers, variable speed drives, HV plant, etcWorking in line with maintenance techniques and best practicesUndertaking/assisting in plant developments/ projectsSetting to work and supervising contractorsMaintaining accurate maintenance records on the sites CMMSEnsuring HSE compliance at all timesProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:Ideally apprentice trained with an NVQ Level 3 minimum qualification in an Electrical related disciplineA Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH would be advantageous18th Edition Wiring regulations would be preferredPersonal skills, prior experience and knowledgeThe Electrical Maintenance Engineer role would suit someone who has:Prior Electrical Engineering experience working in heavy process engineering environments such as Power Stations, Paper Mills, Top Tier COMAH sites, Refineries, Petrochemicals, etc.Experience working with High Voltage (HV) systems up to 400kV would be ideal.Experience working with relevant electrical equipment such as motors, generators, switchgears, etc.Salary and benefits of the Electrical Technician roleA starting basic salary of up to £51,484Performance related bonusMonthly skills shortage allowanceOvertimeOther excellent benefits#LI-AP1Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
