Are you looking to put your Class 2 (Cat C) driving skills to good use in a customer-focused position? Do you enjoy delivering products directly to customers’ homes? Do you believe great customer service is just as important as a successful delivery? \n \n Here at GXO, we’re working together with B&Q and are looking for highly experienced RegionalClass 2 Driver to join our Store to Home team (applications from HIAB-qualified drivers are encouraged). In this role you will support deliveries from our Cardiff and Swansea stores therefore flexibility is essential. \n \n You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday/ Week 2 - Tuesday to Saturday, with start time between 07:00 and 11:00, contracted to 40hrs per week. \n \n Pay, benefits and more: \n \n As a Driver, you’ll receive a competitive pay and benefits package, depending on the licence held: \n \n Pay Rates: \n \n Class 2 Driver \n\n • An hourly rate of £16.85, that is an annual salary of £35,048.00\n, • Overtime pay of £25.28 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)\n\n \n Class 2 Driver (HIAB Qualified) \n\n • An hourly rate of £17.68, that is an annual salary of £36,774.40\n, • Overtime pay of £26.52 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)\n\n \n Additional Benefits \n\n • On-going annual CPC training\n, • Holiday pay and Workplace pension\n, • B&Q store discount upon successful completion of probation period\n, • A 24/7 online GP service, life assurance and a fully comprehensive employee assistance programme\n, • Access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more!\n, • Access to GXO University – home to a wealth of online training courses, meaning your development never ends!\n\n \n What you’ll do on a typical day: \n \n\n • Providing multi-drop home deliveries directly to the customer’s chosen room, averaging 16 deliveries per day in quieter months and up to 24 during peak season\n, • Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations\n, • Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner\n, • Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receive the correct products and delivery documentation\n, • Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur communicate with in a polite and courteous manner\n\n \n What you need to succeed at GXO: \n \n\n • Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential\n, • A full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement with an up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph \n, • No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)\n, • A valid HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent), where held\n, • Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal\n, • Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)\n, • Be prepared to commute between Cardiff and Swansea stores\n\n #bqstore \n We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains. \n GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
