Commercial Administrator£28,000 per annumRedditch Talent Guardian is recruiting on behalf of a growing consolidator and distributor of fine food, drink and fresh produce, supplying the independent retail and foodservice sectors. Everything they supply is consolidated and distributed from a purpose-built Distribution Centre in Redditch, ensuring it meets their strict quality standards. Due to continued growth, they're looking for a Commercial Administrator to act as a key support function to the commercial department.The role This is a varied, hands-on commercial support role with real exposure across the business — you'll work alongside the Business Development team and provide executive support to the Managing Director and heads of department.\n\n • Set up and maintain new and existing suppliers and products\n, • Set up and maintain customer accounts, including IT system setup\n, • Handle pricing and system administration, including producing customer pricelists in line with defined retail periods\n, • Produce weekly sales reports across all customers\n, • Support the processing of customer sales orders from various sources (EDI, email, telephone)\n, • Deal with and respond to customer queries, requests and complaints\n, • Provide effective customer service on deliveries, issues and enquiries\n, • Assist the Business Development team with customer-related requirements\n, • Provide executive support to the Managing Director and heads of departments\nWhat you'll need\n\n, • Experience in a similar role, and knowledge of the food or retail industry, would be hugely beneficial\n, • An understanding of the commercial process around sourcing, purchasing and supply of goods and services\n, • Some experience of customer/supplier liaison and negotiation, including margin and P&L comprehension, would be beneficial\n, • Strong communication skills, with experience dealing with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers\n, • Confident IT skills, particularly Excel and Microsoft applications\n, • Highly numerate, with strong diligence and attention to detail\n, • Own transport and a full UK driving licence\n, • Based full time at the Worcestershire head office\n, • GCSE or equivalent education\n, • Punctual, self-motivated, and able to work both in a team and on your own initiative\nHours & benefits\n\n, • £28,080 per annum (full time, 40 hours per week)\n, • Monday to Friday, with flexibility aligned to business requirements\n, • Annual holiday allowance\n, • Employee benefits scheme and pension scheme\n, • Free on-site secure parking\n, • Training provided, including product knowledge and company policies and procedures\nAbout the business A values-led business built on teamwork, quality, honesty and passion.
