Job Title: Facilities Manager \n Location: Albrighton, WV7Position: House ManagerPay rate: £13.50 per hourHours: Flexible – 4 hours a day (I.e. 9am – 1pm) \n About the Role \n This is a temporary to permanent opportunity \n Reed are seeking an enthusiastic, approachable, and highly organised House Manager to support residents within a desirable independent living residential development in Albrighton. \n This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical approach, strong people skills, and a genuine passion for creating a welcoming community environment. \n \n This is a temporary-to-permanent position. \n Meaning they are wanting to hire somebody on a permanent basis long term and are treating the initially temporary period as a long interview. \n \n Key Responsibilities \n Resident Support & Customer Service \n\n • Maintain a friendly, professional presence and build positive, respectful relationships with residents.\n, • Deal efficiently and effectively with all resident enquiries.\n\n \n Site Management & Safety \n\n • Clean and maintain all communal areas to a high standard, ensuring a welcoming environment.\n, • Visually inspect the building daily, ensuring entrances, windows, and access points are secure.\n, • Report maintenance issues and faults within communal areas.\n, • Keep accurate daily records, including significant events, incidents, disputes, and maintenance activity.\n, • Ensure all assets remain compliant with statutory requirements.\n, • Manage contractors on site, ensuring safe working practices and quality standards.\n, • Uphold all Standard Operating Procedures and follow company health and safety guidelines.\n, • Carry out water testing, weekly fire panel checks, and management of the key-handling policy.\n, • Ensure the emergency call system is fully operational and monitored appropriately.\n\n \n Administrative Duties \n\n • Maintain records, logs, and diaries in line with company policy.\n, • Transfer emergency call systems to the call centre when off duty.\n, • Notify senior management of accidents, resident deaths, or property sales.\n, • Manage booking and standards for the on-site Guest Room Service.\n\n The ideal candidate for this role \n\n • Experience in independent living, retirement village or building management experience is ideal\n, • This role would highly suit a working parent or someone who is semi retired or planning to due to the hours of the role\n, • You must be based local to Albrighton\n, • The ability to communicate clearly, assertively, and professionally with residents, contractors, and colleagues.\n, • Strong customer service focus, resilience, and a proactive attitude.\n, • Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team. .
