The institute offers high‑quality educational programmes to masters, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. /p h3Project Title and Description /h3 pbMachine Learning and High‑Throughput Screening‑Accelerated Discovery of Photocatalytic Polymeric Vesicles for Artificial Photosynthesis /b /p pThis multidisciplinary PhD project will develop and optimize bioinspired catalytic polymeric vesicles for solar fuel production and sustainable chemical synthesis, with emphasis on light‑driven COsub2 /sub conversion. The project draws on molecular catalysis, polymer chemistry, nanoscience, photochemistry, artificial photosynthesis, computational modelling, machine learning, AI‑guided optimisation, high‑throughput screening and automation. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead a research project in collaboration with the group leader, designing experiments, synthesising materials and performing spectroscopic, photochemical and catalytic characterisations. /li liImplement machine‑learning workflows and high‑throughput screening pipelines for the optimisation of photocatalytic polymeric vesicles. /li liAnalyse and model data, prepare manuscripts and reports, and present findings at seminars and conferences. /li liParticipate in laboratory safety, IP management and grant‑application activities. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s (or equivalent) degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or related disciplines, completed before enrolment in the PhD programme. /li liStrong background in experimental chemistry and experience with polymer synthesis or materials characterisation is desirable. /li liInterest in computational/ML approaches and high‑throughput experimentation. /li /ul h3Benefits Grant Conditions /h3 ul liFull social‑security coverage via the Spanish Social Security system and access to public health care, pension and unemployment benefits. /li liPre‑doctoral contract regulated under Spanish Law 14/2011, renewed annually for up to 4 years, subject to satisfactory performance. /li liAnnual gross salary: First and second year €19,007.22; third year €20,364.88; fourth year €25,456.10. /li liContract may be temporarily interrupted in cases of disability, pregnancy, maternity, paternity, adoption or foster care. /li liFull‑time employment at ICIQ.
