As a Field Service Engineer III, you’ll provide expert installation, maintenance, and repair services for LSMS, IC and HPLC equipment. Working with advanced technology, you’ll deliver outstanding technical support while building strong relationships with customers across research institutions, universities, and industrial facilities. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and development within an organization dedicated to serving science. /p h3A Day in the Life /h3 pProvide installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and technical support for sophisticated analytical instrumentation. Resolve complex hardware and software issues, perform preventive maintenance, train customers, and ensure optimal performance of customer systems. Build and maintain strong customer relationships while supporting scientific research and industrial operations. /p h3What to expect /h3 ul liInstall, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate LSMS, IC and HPLC systems /li liDiagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and system performance issues /li liPerform preventive maintenance and service activities to maximize instrument uptime /li liTrain customers and end users on system operation and best practices /li liBuild positive relationships with customers across research, academic, and industrial environments /li liInterpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings /li liWork with ultra-high vacuum systems, high voltage electronics, and electro‑mechanical systems /li liTravel extensively to customer sites and respond to urgent service needs when required /li liFollow all applicable safety procedures, including laboratory and cleanroom protocols /li liCollaborate with colleagues while working independently in the field /li /ul h3Keys to Success /h3 h3Education /h3 ul liAdvanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated analytical instruments. /li liPreferred fields of study include Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline. /li liOngoing technical training and certifications required. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liMinimum 3 years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree, or 5 years with a Bachelor’s Degree. /li liExperience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating advanced analytical instrumentation. /li liExperience with customer‑facing technical service activities. /li liExperience mentoring and training others preferred. /li /ul h3Knowledge, Skills, Abilities /h3 ul liDemonstrated expertise with ultra‑high vacuum systems, high voltage electronics, and complex electro‑mechanical systems. /li liStrong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills for hardware and software issues. /li liAbility to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings. /li liProficiency with Windows operating systems, networking technologies, and standard business software. /li liProfessional working proficiency in English; additional languages beneficial. /li liValid driver’s license and willingness to travel 50–70%. /li liAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in laboratory and cleanroom environments. /li liAbility to respond to urgent customer needs and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. /li /ul h3Competencies /h3 ul liExcellent interpersonal and communication skills. /li liStrong customer focus and relationship‑building abilities. /li liAbility to work independently with minimal supervision. /li liStrong collaboration and teamwork skills. /li liCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. /li liExcellent organizational and time‑management capabilities. /li liAdaptability and willingness to learn new technologies. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 pWe offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
