Experteer Overview In this role you will drive the manufacturability of steel components for Nextpower’s solar solutions, collaborating with Ru0026amp;D, Quality, and Procurement to ensure designs are manufacturable, scalable, and cost-effective. You will lead DFM/DFMA initiatives, supplier readiness, and industrialization across a global supply base, while applying lean and automation improvements. You’ll validate designs through factory tests and pilot runs, influencing changes and ensuring reliable, customer-focused outcomes. This is a high-impact, cross-functional position with a clear opportunity to shape manufacturing standards for a growing renewable-energy platform. Compensaciones / Beneficios • Provide manufacturing feasibility input during concept to design release and advise on DFM/DFMA. • Collaborate with suppliers to translate DFM feedback and capability constraints into design requirements. • Assess drawings, specs, and revisions to identify manufacturability risks and propose solutions. • Lead manufacturing technology innovations and readiness activities for steel processes (e.g., roll forming, stamping, welding, laser cutting, machining, coating, assembly, automation). • Plan prototype builds, supplier trials, and on-site validations; verify critical dimensions via appropriate inspection methods. • Drive cost-reduction through design and process changes while ensuring performance and reliability. • Define and validate manufacturing readiness deliverables (process flows, risk assessments, inspection plans, work instructions). • Conduct supplier factory readiness audits and support ramp execution with corrective actions. • Deploy best practices across suppliers and document them for broader use. • Support engineering changes (ECR/DCO/ECO) in PLM with controlled implementation. Responsabilidades • Bachelor in Engineering • 10+ years in manufacturing engineering/industrialization for steel components in OEM or contract manufacturing • 5+ years in design for manufacturing and steel fabrication processes • 5+ years serving large OEM customers in renewable energy, automotive, or industrial manufacturing • Proven DFM/DFMA influence on design releases and factory validation • Strong experience with steel fabrication (roll forming, stamping, welding, casting, laser cutting, machining, coating/finishing, assembly, automation) • Experience leading supplier-facing engineering activities (process readiness, tooling readiness, validation builds) • Experience with PLM-based engineering change management and controlled implementations • CAD collaboration (SolidWorks or equivalent) and ability to interpret drawings • Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and structured problem solving (8D, 5-Why, Pareto) • Global cross-functional/team collaboration experience • Excellent English communication; ability to synthesize complex information for action • Willingness to travel up to 50% Requisitos principales •
