ph3Product Assurance Engineer - IRIS2 /h3 pHispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states. /p h3Activities /h3 ul liSupport to the definition, design, development and oversight of a telecommunications satellite constellation program in the areas of Product and Quality Assurance disciplines /li liMonitor and control all the technical and management aspects of the Quality Assurance disciplines during spacecraft, subsystem, unit and sub-assembly design, manufacturing and test phases /li liOversee and control the work carried out by manufacturer to ensure the adequate implementation of IRIS2 product/quality assurance requirements throughout the program /li liProvide programme office with a high level of spacecraft technical product assurance expertise for all activities associated with the design, development, manufacturing and tests of spacecrafts /li liMonitor the PA activities during the spacecraft, platform and payload assembly, integration and test activities at the contractor facilities /li liParticipate in project design and test reviews at multiple levels (system, satellite and unit) /li liInteract with the end-to-end system development team to ensure requirements traceability and associated verification plan /li liCarry out the hardware software acceptance reviews in coordination with the programme office /li liManage the non-conformance control system, assess technical residual risks associated to the non-conformances and waivers, and decide on their acceptability /li /ul h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liPreparation and participation in unit, subsystem and system design, manufacturing and testing review meetings /li liPreparation and participation in Mandatory Inspection Points at unit, subsystem and satellite levels /li liPreparation and participation in Parts, Materials and Processes Control Boards /li liPreparation and participation in programme audits and launch campaign activities /li liPreparation and participation in the In Orbit Test Campaign /li liPreparation of weekly reports of activities /li liProvide 24/7 on‑call support during satellite system and Payload/Platform testing /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field /li li10+ years of experience in a similar position with hands‑on experience or exposure in satellite procurement, satellite equipment manufacturing or payload/platform in‑orbit operations in GEO and/or LEO /li liExperience managing large EU and ESA projects /li liDeep knowledge of space qualified parts, materials and processes for Payload and Platform equipment /li liDeep knowledge of space product and quality assurance standards and equipment inspection techniques /li liExperience with reliability engineering activities: reliability prediction analysis, FMECA, parts stress analysis, work case analysis, critical item control, availability and outage analysis /li liDemonstrated skills in manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing oversight at unit, subsystem and satellite levels /li liStrong knowledge of software development environments /li /ul h3Recommendable /h3 ul liHighly collaborative individual, able to build relationships internally and externally across all levels and functions /li liCapacity to deal with complex situations with assertiveness and calm judgment /li /ul h3Other Requirements /h3 ul liNative to an EU member state and willing to undergo an EU secret clearance process /li liFluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in any other European language is an asset /li /ul h3Location /h3 pMadrid, Community of Madrid, Spain /p pAt Hispasat we promote equal opportunities and an inclusive environment.
