The Planning Support Officer role We have three exciting opportunities to join our Property Services as Planning Support Officers! Within this role, you will use dynamic scheduling software and works‑management systems to efficiently assign repairs and compliance work to craft operatives. You will ensure works involving Building Safety are correctly prioritised, scheduled and monitored to maintain compliance, while supporting an efficient, economical, and high‑quality service for customers and partners. You will work with the Planning Manager and Planning Team Leader to support continuous improvement across Property Services and deliver excellent customer‑focused service in every aspect of service delivery. Key duties and responsibilities • Use dynamic scheduling software and work‑management systems to efficiently assign repairs and compliance works to craft operatives, liaising with relevant parties to reschedule where needed., • Ensure that all works involving Building Safety are correctly prioritised, scheduled and monitored to maintain compliance., • Manage operatives’ diaries to ensure sufficient work is allocated, timescales are monitored, and tasks are carried through to completion., • Work independently and collaboratively as a team and across the organisation, inline with our vision, priorities and values., • Respond directly to calls and enquiries from customers and partners; analyse information and liaise with partners, colleagues and contractors to resolve queries and provide signposting where appropriate., • Contribute to the implementation of new and innovative ways of working and input towards developing IT systems with the objective of increasing efficiency, productivity and eliminating waste. What we’re looking for • 4 GCSEs (Grade A – C) or equivalent qualification and/or extensive experience in a similar role., • Demonstrate a positive and inclusive approach to teamwork by collaborating effectively with colleagues, promoting equality and diversity in the workplace., • Demonstrate experience using computerised workscheduling software / systems and Microsoft packages, with strong IT skills and a focus on innovation., • Ability to organise and prioritise workloads in a fast‑paced environment.
