Are you excited at the opportunity to electrify and decarbonize the world? /p h3What impact you’ll make /h3 pAs an On Site Services Specialist within the Service Operations Team, you will actively contribute to delivering exceptional customer support and continuously improving field service performance. Reporting directly to the Services Leader, you will provide Application Engineering expertise and perform Field Service activities to ensure optimal equipment performance, customer satisfaction, and alignment with business objectives. /p h3Job Description /h3 h3What you’ll do /h3 ul liCarry out commissioning activities for Protection, Control, Substation Automation Systems, and Industrial Communications. /li liServe as the main technical resource on site, leading problem resolution and providing technical direction to field teams. /li liPerform Protection and Control engineering consulting: relay setting calculations, configuration of control units/gateways, coordination and selectivity studies, and short-circuit analysis. /li liEnsure full compliance with EHS regulations and promote a strong safety culture during all field activities. /li liDeliver customer training and provide installation and service guidance. /li liMaintain effective communication with customers and internal teams (engineering, manufacturing, sales) to ensure smooth project execution. /li liPrepare accurate, timely, and professional internal and external reports. /li liConduct, audit, and implement quality controls during field activities to ensure high standards and customer satisfaction. /li liSupport continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to enhance processes and operational efficiency. /li /ul h3What You’ll Bring (Basic Qualifications) /h3 ul liDegree in Engineering (any discipline), preferably in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent professional training in the electrical/electronic field. /li liWillingness to travel an average of 150–160 days per year. /li liFluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written). /li liValid work permit within the European Union. /li /ul h3What Will Make You Stand Out /h3 ul liPrevious experience as a Project, Product, System, or Testing Engineer, preferably in the same industry. /li liExperience with electrical protection relays and control systems (LV, MV, HV); project and power plant experience is a plus. /li liKnowledge of other languages such as French, Italian, German, and/or Russian will be a plus. /li liBased in Bilbao or surrounding areas is preferred. /li /ul h3Benefits Available To You /h3 pGE Vernova employees rise to the challenge of building a world that works.
