You’ll combine deep technical execution with staff‑level leadership, helping shape how offensive security is practiced across the organization. /p pYour work will directly uncover vulnerabilities, validate detection and response capabilities, and drive meaningful security improvements. By bringing sophisticated red team operations, purple team collaboration, and AI‑assisted techniques into the environment, you will help strengthen Nscale’s resilience against modern attack methods. /p pThis role will be part of the global CISO organization. /p h3What you’ll be doing /h3 h3Red Team Operations /h3 ul libPlan /b and execute red team operations and adversary simulations across cloud, infrastructure, and enterprise environments /li libSimulate /b advanced attack techniques including initial access, lateral movement, privilege escalation, and persistence /li libEmulate /b real‑world attacker behavior to identify weaknesses across infrastructure, identity systems, endpoints, and applications /li libLead /b complex offensive engagements with the depth and judgment expected at Staff level /li /ul h3Offensive Testing and Tooling /h3 ul libPerform /b penetration testing across applications, APIs, identity systems, and internal services /li libDevelop /b and maintain offensive tooling, scripts, and supporting infrastructure /li libLeverage /b AI‑assisted techniques to enhance reconnaissance, attack simulation, and test coverage /li libApply /b modern offensive tools and frameworks in support of sophisticated security testing /li /ul h3Detection Validation and Security Improvement /h3 ul libIdentify /b gaps in preventive controls, detection coverage, and response capabilities /li libPartner /b with Detection Response teams to validate and improve detection logic and alerting /li libCollaborate /b with Security Engineering to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen system design /li libTranslate /b offensive findings into actionable improvements across the security posture /li /ul h3Purple Teaming and Communication /h3 ul libLead /b and participate in purple team exercises to improve coordination between offensive and defensive teams /li libDocument /b findings clearly, including risk, impact, and remediation strategies /li libCommunicate /b technical issues and attack paths in a way that drives informed prioritization and action /li libInfluence /b security strategy through practical, evidence‑based recommendations /li /ul h3KPIs /h3 ul libRed team operations executed across cloud, infrastructure, and enterprise environments /b /li libDetection and alerting gaps identified and validated /b /li libVulnerabilities remediated through Security Engineering partnership /b /li libPurple team exercises completed and coordination improved /b /li /ul h3About You /h3 ul lib8+ years /b of experience in red teaming, offensive security, or penetration testing /li liProven experience conducting adversary simulation and complex attack chains /li liStrong expertise across network, application, cloud, and identity security /li liDeep understanding of the bMITRE ATTCK /b framework and attacker methodologies /li liHands‑on experience with offensive tools and frameworks such as bCobalt Strike, Burp Suite, and Metasploit /b /liliExperience working in cloud environments and modern infrastructure /li liAbility to develop custom tools or automation for offensive security work /li liAbility to operate at bStaff level /b, including leading engagements, defining strategy, and influencing security improvements /li liNice to have: experience in AI infrastructure or distributed systems environments /li liNice to have: familiarity with identity‑based attacks, Kubernetes, containers, GPU‑based infrastructure, purple teaming, detection engineering collaboration, or AI/ML system security testing /li /ul h3What we can offer you /h3 pAt Nscale, you'll find a collaborative, supportive, and innovative environment where your contributions spark real impact. Actual compensation may vary based on job‑related factors such as skill set, experience, education, and location.
