ph3Coatings Manager – Beverage Can Manufacturing /h3 pLocation: Europe (flexible within AMP network) /p pDepartment: Quality RD /p pReporting to: Quality RD Director /p h3About The Role /h3 pArdagh Metal Packaging is seeking an experienced Coatings Manager to lead and optimize coating operations across our beverage can manufacturing environment. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality, food safety, operational performance, and cost efficiency. /p pYou will provide technical expertise in internal and external coating systems, driving process excellence, continuous improvement, and collaboration across manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and RD teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence product performance, support innovation, and contribute to the delivery of world‑class sustainable packaging solutions. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead and optimize internal lacquer and external coating processes across high‑speed beverage can manufacturing lines. /li liEstablish, monitor, and improve critical process parameters including coating weight, curing performance, adhesion, and application quality. /li liEnsure compliance with customer specifications, food‑contact regulations, and company quality standards. /li liInvestigate coating‑related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. /li liDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, yield, waste reduction, productivity, and cost optimization. /li liPartner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and RD teams to improve process capability and product performance. /li liSupport equipment reliability and performance of coating systems, spray machines, and curing ovens. /li liLead, coach, and develop technical and operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning. /li liManage coating materials, supplier relationships, and manufacturing costs to ensure optimal operational performance. /li liPromote a strong health, safety, and environmental culture, ensuring safe handling and use of coating materials and chemicals. /li /ul h3Qualifications and Experience /h3 pRequirements: /p ul liBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline. /li liAdvanced degree is considered an advantage. /li li5+ years of experience in coatings, surface finishing, chemical processing, or a related manufacturing environment. /li liExperience in beverage can manufacturing, packaging, metals, automotive, or other high‑volume industrial production environments is highly desirable. /li liDemonstrated success leading technical or production teams. /li liExperience driving process improvements and delivering measurable operational results. /li /ul h3Technical Expertise /h3 ul liStrong understanding of coating materials, application technologies, and curing processes. /li liKnowledge of process control methodologies, statistical analysis, and manufacturing performance metrics. /li liExperience with quality improvement tools and structured problem‑solving techniques. /li liUnderstanding of food‑contact materials and regulatory compliance requirements is advantageous. /li /ul h3Key Competencies /h3 ul liLeadership and team development /li liProblem‑solving and analytical thinking /li liContinuous improvement mindset /li liQuality and customer focus /li liData‑driven decision making /li liCross‑functional collaboration /li liStrong communication and influencing skills /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
