Reporting to: Regional / Head Office About the Company We are a fast-growing startup within an international trading group, expanding our presence in Europe through the opening of a new office in Barcelona (Catalonia). We are looking for a proactive and experienced Purchasing Manager who will become a key independent figure responsible for establishing and developing the company's procurement processes. This is a unique opportunity to build an efficient procurement system from scratch in an international environment and play a critical role in the company's growth and scaling in Spain. Key Responsibilities Negotiation & Contracting • Conduct negotiations on pricing, volumes, and supply terms for raw materials and finished products, • Align product specifications (varieties, acidity levels, organoleptic characteristics, etc.), • Conclude contracts and framework agreements with suppliers Shipment & Logistics Coordination • Coordinate shipments (interaction with suppliers and logistics partners), • Monitor timelines, volumes, and accuracy of dispatched goods, • Prepare supporting documentation in collaboration with the back office On-site Quality Control • Organize and/or conduct quality inspections at supplier facilities, • Collect samples and coordinate with laboratories, • Ensure compliance of products with agreed standards and specifications Internal Collaboration • Provide market insights, risks, and opportunities, • Support procurement and production planning Requirements Education • Higher education in agriculture, food industry, logistics, or economics Work Experience • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement of agricultural products/raw materials in Spain, • Proven hands-on experience in:, • Negotiating xcskxlj with local producers, • Working with farmers or processing companies, • Experience with olives and/or olive oil is a strong advantage Professional Skills & Knowledge • Understanding of agricultural supply chains, including international supply chains, • Knowledge of legal principles of international trade, • Basic understanding of quality standards for olive oil and olives, • Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure commercial terms, • Ability to work independently "in the field" Languages • Spanish — fluent (C1–C2), • English — fluent (C1–C2)
