Recreation Supervisor Are you passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for children and families in a luxury hospitality environment? As a Recreation Supervisor, you will lead the daily operation of our Ritz Kids program, ensuring every activity is delivered with the highest standards of safety, quality, creativity, and genuine care. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operation of the Recreation and Ritz Kids program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and enriching experience for all participating children. Supervise, support, and coordinate the Recreation team during each shift, including scheduling, task assignments, break coverage, and operational flow. Coach, train, and motivate team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and service excellence. Plan, organize, and deliver a creative calendar of recreational, educational, and themed activities tailored to different age groups. Ensure all child registration, check‑in/check‑out procedures, attendance records, and childcare protocols are consistently followed. Build genuine relationships with children and their families by providing personalized service and professionally handling questions, special requests, or behavioral concerns. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, safety, and overall presentation of recreation facilities, equipment, and activity materials in accordance with resort standards. Assist in planning and delivering special events, holiday celebrations, children's camps, family programs, and other recreational experiences. Actively promote Recreation and Ritz Kids programs while collaborating with other resort departments to enhance the overall guest experience. Handle guest feedback, concerns, and service recovery opportunities with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions‑oriented approach. Ensure compliance with all child safeguarding procedures, health and safety regulations, emergency protocols, and Marriott International operating standards. Foster a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment where children feel engaged, families feel valued, and team members feel supported. Lead by example while consistently upholding The Ritz‑Carlton Gold Standards and Marriott International service expectations. Qualifications Previous supervisory experience within recreation, children's programs, hospitality, leisure, education, or a related environment. Experience working directly with children in recreational, educational, sports, or childcare settings. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and organize a diverse team. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills. Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. A proactive mindset with exceptional problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences while ensuring children's safety and well‑being. A degree or qualification in Early Childhood Education, Recreation, Physical Education, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is considered an asset. Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification. Professional proficiency in English and Spanish; additional languages are an advantage.
