This person will help ensure that teachers are aligned, supported, accountable, and consistently delivering high-quality academic experiences across both our in-person and online programs. /p /brh3About AESA /h3 /brpThe AESA International School System includes in-person and online college-preparatory programs based on the American high school model. Across both schools, we are committed to rigorous academics, individualized support, and preparing students for success at university and beyond. /p /brh3Role Overview /h3 /brpThe Head of Academics will directly manage AESA’s faculty across both in-person and online teaching responsibilities. This person will lead faculty meetings and check-ins, support teaching quality, strengthen professional expectations, ensure consistency in academic practices, and help faculty deliver strong outcomes for students in both AESA Prep Academy of Barcelona and AESA Prep International. /p /brpThe Head of Academics will work closely with the Director and the Student Support Department, while also collaborating periodically with Admissions, Operations, and Administration when academic leadership is needed. /p /brpThis role is ideal for an experienced educator or academic leader with proven management experience, strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to lead adults with both support and accountability. /p /brh3Key Responsibilities /h3 /brul /brliLead, support, and directly manage AESA faculty across both in-person and online teaching responsibilities. /li /brliEnsure consistent academic expectations, grading practices, feedback quality, and communication standards. /li /brliOversee faculty meetings, teacher check-ins, and academic operating rhythms. /li /brliSupport accreditation-related academic processes, documentation, observations, surveys, and continuous improvement. /li /brliMonitor student academic progress in collaboration with teachers and Student Support. /li /brliStrengthen systems for attendance, tardiness, missing work, pacing, academic risk, and intervention. /li /brliSupport consistent implementation of school policies, including academic integrity, AI use, device expectations, classroom expectations, and online learning standards. /li /brliHelp ensure that online learners receive the same seriousness, attention, and academic quality as in-person students. /li /brliReport to the Director on faculty leadership, major academic concerns, and schoolwide academic priorities. /li /brliCollaborate with Operations and Administration on academic calendars, reporting cycles, staff logistics, and internal systems. /li /brliCollaborate when needed with Admissions on course placement, new student transition, and academic fit. /li /br /ul /brh3Ideal Candidate Profile /h3 /brul /brliProven experience managing, leading, or supervising people in an educational or professional setting. /li /brliSignificant teaching and/or academic leadership experience in an international, bilingual, American, or secondary school environment. /li /brliStrong understanding of secondary education, student progress monitoring, grading, assessment, and academic intervention. /li /brliExcellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. /li /brliAbility to build trust with teachers while holding clear professional standards. /li /brliComfort working across both in-person and online learning environments. /li /brliFull professional proficiency in English and Spanish is required; Catalan is a preferred asset. /li /brliFamiliarity with learning management systems, academic data, accreditation, or American high school programs is a plus. /li /br /ul /brh3What We Offer /h3 /brul /brliA full-time leadership role in a growing international school system. /li /brliA meaningful opportunity to shape academic leadership across both in-person and online programs. /li /brliProfessional growth and leadership development. /li /brliCompetitive compensation based on experience and profile. /li /br /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
