These automation systems are composed of many (electro-) mechanical, controls, and IT components, built by teams in various parts of the world and must be integrated with other (software) systems to support the processes of our customers. /p pAs an Integration Engineer, you are involved in integrating the various components and (sub)systems into a solution. This is especially challenging for large and complex systems consisting of sortation systems, automatic storage and retrieval systems, automated guided vehicles, robots, conveyors, control software and IT infrastructure. You test the system to ensure that it works according to the design. /p pTest and integration engineers contribute to the success of projects. /p h3Your tasks and responsibilities /h3 pYour main tasks and responsibilities will be: /p ul liCollaborate with the Integration Manager in the test designs and test plans based on system design, risk analysis and customer demands. /li liOrganization of test preparation meetings, both internally and with the customer and other subcontractors. /li liDirect and main dialogue between the project team and the customer in all matters related to Integration and Commissioning. /li liSet up and configure test environments and the test tooling, prepare the test execution for SFT (factory) SST (site). /li liOptimization of resources and times to reduce costs. /li liExecute the integration, system and customer acceptance tests on-site. /li liAnalyze and report the test results, (production) problems and verify solutions. /li liEnsure that the pertinent Test Records are kept, in accordance with the Integration Plan. /li liDiscuss results with developers, solution architects / customers or other team members. /li liPrepare and implement a procedure for the management of Non-conformities and Corrective Actions, follow-up on them and manage their closure. /li /ul pAs an Integration Engineer you report to the Integration Manager. Based on your field of interest there is an opportunity to grow to a Solution Architect or Integration Manager role. /p h3Your department /h3 pThe Parcel Solution Design and Integration department is part of the business domain Distribution within Vanderlande Industries. The department is responsible for system design, testing and integration of complex Parcel systems for international customers all over the world, like DHL, FedEx or DPD Group. The integration of all components (mechanical, electronic, OT software, IT software and IT Hardware) into a working system according to specifications is especially challenging for large and complex Parcel systems. The department works in an international team setting with people from different countries with different cultural backgrounds. /p h3Your Profile /h3 pYou are an analytical problem solver who thinks in a systems perspective. You can manage small details while keeping an eye on the big picture. You like to work together in an international multi-disciplinary team of engineers. /p ul liYou have a bachelor’s or master’s degree. /li liAffinity with IT and Industrial Automation. /li liExperience, preferably in Logistics, Parcel and/or Warehousing projects. /li liStrong data analysis and problem-solving skills (advanced user in Word and Excel). /li liGood knowledge of PLCs Siemens. /li liGood knowledge of the mechanical, electrical and network (IT) parts. /li liBasic knowledge of Systems Engineering and / or Software development. /li liBasic knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques. /li liGood communication and presentation skills. /li liTeam player. /li liProactive. /li liAbility to analyze the requirements indicated in the specifications and prepare and/or adapt test plans accordingly. /li liCoordination with the different work fronts (installation and commissioning) to verify the completion of areas/elements necessary for tests. /li liPredisposition to work in a demanding work environment and ability to find solutions that allow progress with the tests. /li liAble to build an excellent rapport with customers. /li liYou are willing to travel for about 60% of the time. /li liGood communication skills in English. /li liKnowledge of automated test-tools (execution, result registration, test management) is preferred. /li /ul h3Our offer /h3 pYou will get the opportunity to contribute to the growth and profitability of Vanderlande Industries.
