The role involves working as part of a global team to design and develop SCADA products for the renewable energy domain and contributing to design discussions across teams. /p h3Essential Responsibilities /h3 ul liFocus on critical evaluation, selection and validation of software and hardware components of the SCADA infrastructure. /li liInfluence and create new designs, architectures, standards and methods for SCADA infrastructure. /li liApply principles of Lean/Agile and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices and Testing Techniques. /li liWork with team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions. /li liProvide expertise in quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for SCADA platform projects. /li liExpertise in writing PowerShell code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality. /li liProvide hands‑on technical leadership in design and support of VMware, Microsoft and Linux servers. /li liDemonstrate initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems. /li liPromote transparency by proactively sharing design choices with appropriate audiences, with suitable level of detail and timeliness. /li liProvide hands‑on leadership in release of subcomponents of SCADA products within the product life cycle tool. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical, Power Systems. /li liIT Infrastructure knowledge, e.g. Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certification. /li liClear understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, e.g. Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification (recommended). /li liClear understanding of IP networks and DoD network model. /li liClear understanding of Microsoft Hyper‑V and VMware ESXi. /li liClear understanding of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL. /li liSound knowledge in Microsoft PowerShell and Linux Bash. /li liGood written and verbal communication skills and experience working in a global team environment. /li /ul h3Desired Characteristics /h3 ul liUnderstands technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction aligning with business goals. /li liUnderstands concepts of setting and driving architecture direction. /li liFamiliar with elements of gathering architecture requirements. /li liUnderstands architecture standards concepts to apply to project work. /li liExpertise in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting edge and/or large‑scale distributed systems. /li liIn‑depth knowledge of operating systems (processes, threads, concurrency issues, locks, mutexes, semaphores, monitors and how they work). /li liExperience working on Linux/Unix, Microsoft Windows and VMware environments. /li liExperience working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/validation infrastructure. /li liKnowledge of Renewable Energy Domain, especially wind, and hands‑on experience with Mark 6e controllers and related software would be an added plus. /li liKnowledge of Microsoft SQL Server/PostgreSQL or other SQL/non‑SQL databases would be a plus. /li /ul h3EEO Statement /h3 pAt Quest Global, we believe in equal opportunities and are committed to maintaining an inclusive and safe environment, ensuring equal opportunities in selection, training, and development in a workplace free from discrimination based on ethnicity, age, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other personal, physical, or social circumstance. /p h3Benefits /h3 ul liRemote work policy and work‑life balance plans.
